Double treat! The
reason behind this is because I just felt like it. I was actually supposed to
post this yesterday, but I could not because my coursework got to me. So I'm
kinda' in a hurry posting this. Another reason why it's a double is because I
won't be typing any new chapters till after the 15th. My professor
was a total ass and double our work pile. So forgive me minna!
Naruto finally looked away. "Oh it's nothing. Really, Kakashi-sensei. Is that the reason you're here?"
"Sort of. The other reason was to check up on you. You did not show up for your class today, remember?" Kakashi pointed out and knelt before Naruto. "What is really troubling you Naruto? If you don't sort it out and you go out on a mission, it might be the cause of your downfall."
Naruto stared at his teacher then choked out. "Are you in a relationship?"
"What?" Kakashi asked, blinking at the question.
"You heard me." Naruto said, looking away. "I was just curious. I – I mean when I was still a genin you were always single. Or at least, I thought so." Kakashi stared at Naruto quietly. "Well? Are you?"
Kakashi titled his head to one side. "Why do you ask Naruto?" Naruto shrugged.
"Just curious." He then looked directly in to Kakashi's eyes, the longing reflecting in the sky blue orbs. "To know that you would trust me with something personal like that would mean –" Naruto swallowed and stared at the floor, cheeks slightly coloring.
Kakashi smiled. "I'm single, Naruto."
"Why?" Naruto asked, looking at him. "There isn't anyone in there?" He pointed at Kakashi's heart. He then frowned, a sad look glazing his eyes. "Or did they die during –"
"Yeah?" Naruto looked at him, a grin on his face, but eyes reflecting sadness. Naruto felt his whole world fall to pieces. So Kakashi did like someone else. If possible, his chest hurt even more. But he mentally told himself that he was being selfish. He'd help Kakashi be happy. Yeah, that's what he'd do. Kakashi deserved happiness. After all, he lost his best friend because of him right? The level of his pain decreased somewhat. He'd help Kakashi with everything he could. He just had to know who the person was. The curious gaze glowed within his blue eyes while he waited for Kakashi to answer.
Kakashi noticed the look and chuckled inwardly. "The baby fox told me in my dreams that I should start courting him soon since he has his own fan club growing."
Naruto raised both eyebrows. What was with the baby-fox jig? "I see. Then why don't you go ahead and court him? If you want, I can help you!" Naruto flashed him a grin, though he was inwardly hurt a bit. But he reminded him himself AGAIN that if it made Kakashi happy, then he would be fine.
Kakashi merely laughed and stood up from his kneeling position. "No, I think I will be fine. But thanks for the offer though."
Naruto nodded. "If you need help, I'll be here, Kakashi-sensei!"
Kakashi laughed and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Thanks Naruto. But anyway, would you like to go out with me for ramen?"
"Really?" Naruto asked, forgetting all his troubles. Old ways truly did die hard. He was loyal to ramen no matter what. Even Kato was amazed by how he could survive on just noodles for several days and not complain at all.
"Yeah. Will you?" Kakashi asked.
"Yeah!" Naruto began to do a little dance, swaying his hips and giving Kakashi a good view of his backside, making the Jounin think rather R-rated things that made his cheeks stain red. "So? So? When can we go?"
"I was thinking we could go now if you want. We can go relax and stuff. Take a walk. Have a little chat. Maybe by the waterfalls or the mountains?"
The truth was, Kakashi was itching to sit close to Naruto, so it was just one of his ploys. Naruto was more than happy to spend some time with his teacher. But he did not realize or notice for that fact, that Kakashi was already courting the one that lay within his heart.
The baby-fox was really a bit ignorant. Strong, handsome and a bit scary at times, but ignorant. Kakashi smiled happily under his mask.

Anyway, romance! Romance! Romance! Well, kinda'… ON WITH THE SHOW!
