"Well, you see sweetie..." said Koyko, with a far away look in her eyes. "When I died I met a person named Boton(?) who told me it was not my time to die. I had too much to live for, namely you. So I was given a series of tests. The First was where we, Boton and I, had to find out if people loved me and wanted me back. That was simple. You, Uo, and Hana all really wanted me back, so I passed with flying colors! Then I had too raise an egg for two years while it changed into a sprit creature. Mine became a 'Red Butterfly,' just like the story says. I have been back for about two months, getting reacquainted with folks."
It was then that Tohru noticed where they were sitting. It was a restaurant that they had often come too before she stared living with the Shomas. Ugh! How was she supposed to tell Mom about them?!
"So how have you been dear?" asked Koyko.
"Uh...Um you see I haven't been living with Grandpa for the past two, or so, years now."
"Really? Why not?" At that Tohru told her mother everything, except the part of the Zodiac thing, that had happened while she was gone.
"Really? I want to meet these Shomas!" said Koyko. And with that marched straight home, towards the Shomas.
