When Love Is Worth Missing Quidditch

James rolled his eyes impatiently for the twentieth time that day.

" Remus, if you don't do something about your complex soon, I'm going to do it for you." James threatened.

" But what if Sirius doesn't love me back?" Remus practically whined, running to catch up with James's purposefully quick strides.

James muttered under his breath and Remus frowned at him, continuing to walk beside one of his best mates. He had no idea what was in store for him.

" James, why am I going back to the locker room with you? Sirius will probably have planned a party by now.."

" Yeah," Remus said, breaking out of his flashback. " That's how I ended up in here."

Remus cast a glance around the tiny broom closet. His gaze rested on the other boy in the closet, his shaggy black hair covering what Remus knew to be sparkling blue eyes.

" So how did you end up in here?" Remus asked, fidgeting nervously with his hands.

" Oh." the boy said. " Well, it kinda went like this…"

" James, do you think Remus likes me?" Sirius asked dreamily, idly helping James get ready for the Quidditch match.

James had about had it with the pair of them. Both of them constantly bugged him about the other. Peter wasn't an option because he had learned to successfully ignore them. Oh the woes and agonizing pains of being fifteen and in love. James had had the last straw. It was time to take action.

" Padfoot?" he said innocently.

" Yeah Prongs?" he replied absently.

James grinned inwardly as he chose his next words carefully.

" Could you go fetch my broom from the closet?" James said, praying his plan would work.

" Yeah, sure." Sirius said vaguely.

Sirius wandered towards the said broom closet, and opened it. Walking inside was a huge mistake. James jumped on the doorknob and slammed it shut, putting every known spell on the door to keep it shut. He laughed maniacally when Sirius started to pound on the door, muttering obscenities as James sauntered away, twirling Sirius's wand in his hand as he went.

" Ah, I see." Remus said as he finished his tale.

" So, you really do love me?" Sirius asked nervously.

" Yeah." Remus replied shyly.

Sirius let his head sink onto Remus's shoulder. He heaved a sigh, and cuddled up next to him. Remus hesitantly put his arms around Sirius, and pulled him closer. The two stayed like that for a long time. Sirius finally broke the silence.

" Good, because Remus, it was worth missing the Quidditch match. I love you too." Sirius gushed, looking up at Remus's relieved smile.

" I for one, agree with you." he remarked cheerfully, pulling Sirius into the most passionate kiss either had ever experienced.
