Well, here it is, the slash version I said I'd write someday. Most of the beginning is the same as the original. Hope you enjoy.

"Remus . . . "

Remus Lupin awoke with a start. He sat straight up and noticed a pearly-white figure floating before him.

"Sirius?"

"Hello Remus."

"What are you -- but you're dead." Remus was stunned.

Sirius laughed his familiar bark-like laugh. "I am here to say goodbye to you before passing on."

"Sirius--"

He was stopped with a raised hand.

"There's one thing I think you should know, Remus. Something that I was never able to tell you before."

"What would that be?"

Sirius hesitated, "I—I love you."

For a moment all was silent. Remus' face remained blank until finally, he smiled.

"I love you too, Sirius."

It looked like tears were flowing down Sirius' cheeks as Remus said these words, but how was that possible when he's a ghost?

"I'm sorry, Remus. I should have told you a long time ago and now look! It's too late."

"No, I'm the one who should be sorry. I could have saved you."

"No you couldn't, you were protecting Harry." Sirius paused for a brief second, the continued. "Watch over him—you're the last remaining link he has to James and Lily. You're the last father-like figure to him. Take care of him, Remus."

Remus nodded, "I will Sirius."

Sirius smiled, "Thank you Moony."

"You're welcome." He whispered in response.

Another moment of silence passed between the two.

"I should be going now."

Tears started forming in Remus' eyes. "Now? After we just discovered our feelings for each other?"

"Yes, but don't worry, we'll see each other again someday, then we can be together."

"Ok then." Remus blinked back his tears.

"Goodbye, Remus, and remember I'll always love you." He disappeared into nothingness.

"Goodbye Sirius, my love."
