Goodbye
Harry Potter sat in his room at number four, Privet Drive. It was a beautiful day outside. Normally he'd be out there but he just didn't care anymore.
The summer had just started and already, he'd recieve hurndreds of letters from the Weasleys, Hermione, and the Order, comforting him.
He, of course read throught their letter and told them that he was grateful for their concern, but he didn't want it.
He didn't want all of their pity and sorrow. He just wanted to be left alone. He didn't want anyone mentioning his name. He didn't even want to think of him.
But he knew that wasn't going to happen. No matter how hard he wished for the memory to leave, it just stuck in his head, more than ever.
There was a tap at the window and Harry looked up, not caring. It was Hedwig. He lazily stood up and walked over to the window, opening it.
She swooped through the window and landed on his bed, holding out her leg. Harry removed the letter, but did not open it.
'What's the point in opening it? I'll just be another letter saying how much they're sorry and that he was a good person.' he thought.
He placed the letter on the bedside table and laid down. His vision blurred steadily. He felt the tears trickling down the side of his face. Why? I just don't understand. Maybe I never will. Maybe I just don't want to. he thought.
Harry removed his glasses and wiped the tears from his eyes. Running his hand through his already messy hair, he sighed. He eyed the envelope, wondering if he should open it or not.
"I don't see the point in not opening it. People will worry if I don't." he mumbled, picking it up. He slowly opened it and took out the paper.
He unfolded it and to his surprise it only had two words on it. It didn't matter that it was only two words. It was enough to make him break down.
The paper flutter from his hand and landed on the floor with tear marks smugging the words:
Goodbye,
Sirius
