My first Harry Potter poems, in witch I tried to continue my style, from my LotR poems, but I hate to reply myself. So this is, at first, my best try.
All these poems, are written after I saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, in the cinema.
The core in this collection, is The Memory of Light, witch I think, is my best poem to date. After I heard "A Window to the Past" (wonderful piece of music), on the soundtrack, I remembered how important, it is to realise and understand. To remember the good times, and that "There are other forces at work in this world, besides the will of evil". I think it's one, of the most important themes, in the film, even more than in the book.
I'm not that proud of the rest, but they are written, and I've made them, as good as I could.
Friend or Foe, could refrerr to both Black/Pettigrew and Smeagol in LotR, but I think it's best here.
The Memory of Light (A Window to the Past)
Even in the darkest hour
Is there a light
The past isn't gone
Only renewed
Live in the moment
It'll never come again
See the light
See the joy in life
The world is changed
Life and hope is gone
No, the sun still shines
It has never left
Others have given their best
So you can feel them
The memory isn't only past
It's also life
The past is still living
In your heart
Inside yourself
Is the memory kept alive
The past never leaves
It changes
Into experience and hope
To light in the dark
Friend or foe
The simplest way
Is not always the right
Please listen
I can explain
Don't judge
Nor sentence
Instead forgive
And understand
Many that live deserve death
Some who die deserve life
Even a traitor
Can betray himself
Who may I trust?
Who is my friend?
Can I trust myself?
Do I choose right?
The Dementor
The world turns cold
Without any hope or joy
I'm passing over
Into a world of misery
Somebody's screaming
Inside my head
My worst memories
Come alive
I want to weep
I want to forget
I want to feel hope
But I can't
My Patronus
Protector of light
Guard of hope
Defend me from despair
Make me overcome
You are me
The best of me
The shape of my soul
A memory of light
An echo of the past
My point of support
Strike the shades of darkness
Reveal the light of myself
