*-* Rain's Point Of View *-*

"Rain, Rain wake up! It's just a dream!"

My eyes shoot open and I freak out. I don't know who's shaking me, why they're shaking me, or where I am. Suddenly, I'm pulled into a strong embrace. That calms me a bit. I close my eyes and concentrate. Something smells familiar. Domon! It's Domon. I wrap my arms around his neck and start crying.

"Oh Rain, it's okay, don't cry. It was a nightmare baby. You're safe with me."

I break the embrace, but keep my arms behind his neck. I stare up at him, noticing how his gorgeous cinnamon eyes are full of worry and concern. I can't help but smile.

"Domon, I wasn't crying out of fright. It's just, I was so happy it was you. I have never felt safer with anyone in my life, so the moment I recognized you, I knew I was safe. I started crying out of sheer joy and relief."

He has a look on his face that I can't decipher. Half joy, half relief, and half awe of how highly I think of him.

"Oh."

I start giggling at that. But I manage to suppress it and continue on.

"I know I should have told you how I felt ages ago. I just always thought, if I had a problem that was totally out of my reach, the first person I turn to for help is you."

"I'm glad that I'm someone you can depend on. I plan on keeping that position for the rest of our lives."

Tears start to well in my eyes. I hug him again, I can't help it. Feeling his muscular arms around me while he kisses my shoulder softly. It's like heaven on Earth. He's my savior who banishes my nightmares and all that is evil.

"Domon, I am forever in your debt."

"Well forget debt, let's get out of here. C'mon, I need a shower and some new clothes."

"Okay."

We walk to the door. There is a lot of activity going on outside. Domon must have hit that guy pretty hard. I reach for the door handle and pull it open. Crowds of investigators wait to question us. Domon grabs my hand and we walk through the messy array of detectives and policemen. Suddenly, Domon stops, tells one man that I was nearly raped and that he saved me by "punching the guys lights out", and we continue on. Finally exiting the building, we go straight to Domon's car. Getting in, he fires it up and we are out of there.

*-* Domon's Point Of View *-*

"I'll drop you off so you can get yourself collected and everything okay?" I ask Rain.

She hesitates.

"Sure." She says in a small voice

There is a look of worry and disappointment on her face. A crazy thought races through my mind. What if she's disappointed that I'm leaving her? No, it's just that, a crazy thought. It has to be.

"Rain, are you okay?"

"Uh... ya, I guess. I'm just a little shook up, kind of raw. You know?"

"Yes. I completely understand."

We sit in awkward silence for 5 minutes. I toy with an idea in my head wondering if I should ask it aloud.

"Rain?"

"Yes?"

"Would it be weird if I picked up some clothes at my house and then we both headed to your house to shower and stuff? I mean, I don't wanna freak you out or anything, I wanna make you feel safe."

She turns from looking out the window to face me. Her cerulean eyes soften as she recognizes the concern in my voice. She smiles at me.

"No Domon, that would be the furthest thing from weird. You are always welcome at my house."

"Alright."

I turn the car around and we're off to my house. I look over at Rain. She's sleeping peacefully. I understand her being tired, she tossed and turned in my arms all night. So I let her sleep while we drive. I get out at my house, get my clothes, and drive away all without disturbing her.

When we get to her house, I open the front door with the keys she handed me before, and go inside. I place Rain on the nearest couch, close the front door, and look around.

She has a nice looking apartment for a high school graduate. Its based on a green color palette with splotches of beige and red scattered here and there. I pick up the duffel bag with my clothes in it, and look for the bathroom. I find it with out much trouble, and turn on the shower immediately.

While I scrub my self down, I have time to think. Looking back on the past forty-eight hours, I can tell my relationship with Rain has definitely grown closer. But I can't tell if the chemistry that I felt was truthful, or if it was a moment of weakness. And what about that kiss? Holding her and kissing her is the thrill experience of my life. I know that she and I need to talk. We'll see how that goes.

I get out of the shower, throw some boxers on, and dry myself off. I'm still drying my hair while I walk out into the main room of her apartment. She's fast asleep on the couch, right where I left her. I walk over to her and brush my lips tenderly against her own.

"Time to get up. Shower's all yours."

She smiles with her eyes still closed.

"I left it steamy." I whisper flirtatiously in her ear.

Her eyes open slowly and she stares me in the eye.

"Domon Kasshu, were you just flirting with me?"

"Possibly." I say with a grin.

"Well," she says, "consider yourself flirted with as well."

I raise a questioning eyebrow. She kisses my cheek, gets up, and walks to the bathroom. She is about to enter when she adds something else.

"Domon?"

"Yes?" "Promise you won't leave?"

I smile reassuringly back at her.

"Wouldn't dream of it."

Does Domon actually have the guts to make a move on Rain?

If he does, will Rain accept?

Will Domon and Rain ever get on the same page about how they feel for each other?

Can their blossoming love continue to grow?

What will happen when Domon and Rain have to go back to be questioned about the events of the previous night?
