After a few moments Cainara was able to walk by herself. Kamo looked at
Cainara with worry in his eyes.
Cainara smiled and scratched the back of his ear while saying, "Don't worry
about me".
Cainara and Kamo walked through the streets for what seemed like years.
Both were tired and very hungry. But the only thing they could afford was a
loaf of bread...every two weeks. Cainara spotted a gate out of the corner of
her eye. She turned and started to walk towards it, she then motioned Kamo
to do the same. Reaching the gate Cainara saw a sign.
Cainara smiled and turned to Kamo, "It's a park"
She and Kamo walked through the gate looking around. Both their eyes landed on a pond surrounded by white flowers. They ran and stopped inches away from the water's edge. The smell of the flowers filled their lungs while the sounds of the water eased the tension and relaxed their minds. Kamo bent his head down and began to drink, "Good stuff, but not as good as good as the stuff back home"
Cainara knelt down and laid her bag next to her side. She reached in and pulled out a small cup made of wicker wood. Drinking the water Cainara felt her wounds feeling slightly better. "Odd", she thought to herself still drinking the water. When Cainara was finished she put the cup back into the bag and turned to Kamo who was now finished. A look of worry appeared over her face, Cainara grabbed her bag and began to search through her bag. "Oh good, that creep didn't get to it", Cainara pulled her hand out and opened it. Lying there in her hand was a crystal of ice. It was made of a special ice, it never melts. "There's only one other item that's made with ice from the top of Mt. Fuji, Koroshiya's sword. Which isn't a very good thing now is it..." said Cainara who was now wrapping the crystal in black silk and putting it back into her bag. She stood up and hopped onto Kamo's back. She motioned Kamo to trot into the streets once more. They went through town and out to a peer. Cainara slid off Kamo and walked into a small restaurant. Looking around she spotted a man in the corner drinking a cup of coffee dressed slightly suspiciously. She walked over slowly and sat down.
"Do you have it?" he said keeping his eyes low. Cainara threw the paper bag onto the table glaring at the man. The man opened the bag and counted the hundred dollar bills inside while saying, "this is all he gave you?"
"Yup. He said that it wasn't worth very much. He also says he sends sympathy to your cruddy business" replied Cainara still glaring at the man. The man lifted his eyes from the table and reached into his coat pocket. He threw the money on the table told Cainara to leave. She took the money and walked out of the restaurant not turning back. Outside she counted the money, $200 dollars. Cainara put the money in her bag and hoped on Kamo once more. They reached town once more and walked around some looking for cheap food. They found a suitable cart with some bread and vegetables on it. Cainara picked out one loaf of bread, some carrots, grain, and cheese. She paid the money she owed and started to walk once more. They reached the park even more tired then before. Cainara pulled out some carrots and cheese. Kamo ate his carrots up in an instance but Cainara ate slowly enjoying every bite of her meal. "Excuse me have you seen any ice aberrations walking around here?" said tall black haired boy tapping Cainara on the shoulder. Startled Cainara stumbled to her feet, "uh...no..." she said quietly looking down. The boy looked down and spotted Cainara's scepter, "Oh boy am I going to have fun with this" he thought to himself.
"You know I think you're the person I'm looking for. What's you name?" he said smiling.
"Cainara, and that's Kamo" said Cainara who was still looking at the ground.
"Cainara eh? Pretty name, not very common. Mine's Yusuke Urameshi. You got a last name?" Yusuke said walking up to Cainara.
"...No...I don't h-have o-one" Cainara said stuttering and stumbling backwards.
Yusuke stopped walking and was now only inches away from Cainara who was still looking and the ground, but now blushing. Yusuke lifted her chin up with his hand still keeping the other one in his pocket.
"All I want to do is talk," Yusuke said smiling warmly. Yusuke sat down on the ground and patted the spot next to him. Cainara caught on to the motion and sat down hands in lap.
"I'm suppose to arrest you for theft" said Yusuke his voice very light and soft.
"I'm ready to take my punishment" Cainara said looking down...again.
"I'm not going to. Instead I'll take you to my boss, maybe you can do some work or something" Yusuke said folding his arms behind his head. Cainara's eye light up and she quickly turned to face him. Her silent mouth opened as she said, "Why are you being so kind..."
Yusuke turned to face her and smiled. He then said, "Because you're to pretty to go to jail". Cainara's face went into shock as she blushed a deep pink and turned to the ground. Yusuke laughed while getting up. He brushed some dirt off of him and said, "Follow me".
Cainara smiled and turned to Kamo, "It's a park"
