that's nothing new...By the by this chappie is...mostly dialog because they
talk about what to do with Cainara and her past...and other things...but ill
let you read to find out. But don't worry the next chappie is definitely
not like that.
Cainara: wow that was pointless...
"Ah, so this must be the thief", said Koenma turning to Cainara who was now behind Yusuke seeking defense.
"She has a name and its Cainara", Yusuke replied in a harsh sort of
tone. "We'll she wont need a name where she's going. All those robberies! If you guys didn't stop her she would have stolen just about the same amount of jewels as Yoko did...ok well not exactly...but pretty close", said Koenma in his own defense.
"Ok you and I both know that's not even half true. Besides, if she's good at what she does can't we use her for good? Fighting on our side" said Yusuke easing on his voice to get Koenma to give in. He didn't like using those two words together...use her. But he knew that he had to give up his ways for a while to let Cainara stay with them.
The two argued for a while and everyone else stood and watched. Finally Botan had enough and walked over to Cainara to introduce herself.
"Why hello there! I don't think we have been properly introduced. My name is Botan!" said Botan while putting on a cheerful face...like always. "...Hi...", said Cainara moving closer to Yusuke. "I bet you'd be a lot more talkative if these two would just quit it", said Botan thinking up a plan.
When she thought up her plan, she walked up to Yusuke. Yusuke looked down at her and waited for Botan to do something, or at least say something. But Botan had a different idea in mind. Botan whipped out her bat and smacked Yusuke over the head, "That's what you get for arguing in front of two ladies". Botan winked at Cainara and Cainara giggled while stepping out from behind Yusuke a little.
"Ow! No fair! Koenma was arguing too", said Yusuke rubbing his head. "Yusuke maybe you haven't noticed but Koenma is my boss. You just don't go knocking you boss over the head with a bat", replied Botan while moving over to the empty seat on the couch next to Kuwabara. She looked at him and made a disgusted face, "Ok I don't want to know," she said.
"*Sigh* Ok so what are we suppose to do with her", said Koenma while sitting down on the floor. Yusuke already thought of this answer before hand. He wasn't sure how everyone would react so he decided to give it a shot anyway, "Well I've been thinking..." He was then interrupted by the not to smart Kuwabara who said, "Thinking?! That's a first...". Getting into the conversation Hiei then said, "Will you shut up".
Kuwabara was just about to continue but the look in both Hiei and Yusuke's eyes weren't too friendly. So he did the smart thing ((yes that's right. He did something smart for once)) and kept his mouth shut.
Yusuke shook his head and said, "Like I was saying. I was thinking about how good she is with the whole stelth thing. She could be of some use".
Kurama caught onto that Yusuke didn't know who she really was. "Yusuke...It's not our decision to make" he began "You honestly don't know who she is...do you...what about you Koenma?"
"I do too know who she is! She's a thief!" said Koenma while crossing his arms and making a pout face.
Hiei catching onto that Yusuke and Koenma were both pointless of the situation, he chimed in, "She's an element keeper."
"WHAT? I thought they weren't suppose to live in the mortal world", said Koenma stumbling back.
"Yes that's true. But every one of the keepers has their own path. She must be a special case of some sort," said Kurama thinking more about the topic.
Cainara just stood in shock and listened. She heard about stories of the keepers but people said they weren't even real. She listened closely and became more and more confused. She began to feel sick and wanting to break down right there. Being as strong as she is... she sucked it up and began to listen again.
"Each keeper has an element to watch over. Judging by the scepter and crystal she has in her bag, she's the ice keeper", said Hiei laying his hands behind his head.
"Hey! How do you know about that" said Cainara upset that Hiei went into her bag.
"...I have my reasons", said Hiei stopping there.
Kurama looked at Hiei and thought to himself, "I hate it when he's vague".
Kurama then shook his head and turned back to Hiei, "Hiei...you're not suggesting she's..." Kurama stopped in shock of the possibility. "Yes Kurama. I do believe we have found Koroshiya", said Hiei now glaring at Cainara.
"How does he know...he can't..." thought Cainara.
"Yes, that's right. I know Cainara. Little Cainara here has a secret. A big secret. One of the most impressive killers out there", said Hiei waiting for Kurama to catch up.
"You're telling me that Koroshiya actually got herself into a keepers body" said Kurama shocked.
"Yes", said Hiei.
Yusuke lost, as ever, "Who's Koroshiya?" He said.
Hiei looked at Yusuke and raised an eyebrow. "Koroshiya used to be one of the best killers there was. That's where she got her name ((Koroshiya- Professional Killer)). It's said one day she decided that the life she was living in then didn't have too much of a challenge for her. And that she had enough richest to please her forever. Every man she encountered was killed. Some were lucky they were just paralyzed by the look they saw in her eyes. Then she disappeared. No one really knew where she went...only that she was gone."
He then looked back at Cainara and said, "Isn't that right Cainara. Go ahead. Tell us the true story" a wicked smile appeared on his face and everyone was getting the feeling Hiei was enjoying this a little too much.
"To be honest all I know is that I have a power of ice and a power to read minds. A whole bunch of other things but they go on and off. I never really knew who that other side was. I swear it. All I know is that it took me a long time to tame it. The only time I ever let go is when death is near. Some how her power rises and I can't hold on. And for the story...You're going to have to ask her yourself."
And with that said the blue haze began to arise once more. It swirled and flew around Cainara's body. The room began to become cold and the hair on everyone's neck spiked on end. Yusuke, Kurama, Botan, Koenma, and Kuwabara's eyes went wide at the sight. Their mouths were open and the stared blankly not knowing what to do. Hiei smiled and thought to himself, "Yes that's right. Let's see the true form...the real Koroshiya!"
Then suddenly the blue haze wrapped itself around Cainara's body tightly and seeped into her and disappeared. Everyone but Hiei stared in shock at the new person standing in the place of Cainara. Koroshiya had awakened. She wore black pants that were so baggy at the end, it touched the floor, a deep v-neck shirt that was too black, her hair was a midnight black with bangs, one of which was silver with an ice blue tip, she was covered in a black cape with a blue stripe leading around her waist and to the ends of the cape that hovered above the ground. Some how her eyes weren't an ice blue anymore. But dark rich blue. At last the scepter that was strapped to Cainara's back was now a sword strapped to the back of Koroshiya. She starred in the room in wonder and said, "Cainara for what reason would I have to be here with these...ningens".
"Hn" said Hiei crossing his arms in front of him. Koroshiya's eyes darted to Hiei and she said, "Hiei? I would have thought you'd be off some where massacring baka ningens". "I would be, but I'm stuck here" he replied. Koroshiya looked at the others and her eyes landed on Kurama. "Yoko too?" said Koroshiya, "Is this a party? I despise parties, waste of my time".
Kurama's eyes went into shock and he thought, "...how did she know..."
Koroshiya's mind reading ability was much more skilled than Cainara's. Also same with just about every other ability. It was easy for her to pick up Yoko's energy even though it was Kurama's form.
Everyone stared at Koroshiya for a few moments. Koroshiya's patience ran out and said, "ok I'm leaving". She began to walk towards the door.
"Aren't you going to tell us what really happened?" said Yusuke trying to make sure Koroshiya doesn't leave his sight...because then...so would Cainara.
She turned her head a little towards Yusuke, "Fine. Only because Cainara wont shut up". She leaned against a wall, then began to talk about what really happened.
"Yes, I was thief. A killer too. Damn proud of it. I was sick and tired of you baka ningens turning this world into your own dump and polluting it with beer, whores, drugs, and other incompetent things. I killed those drug dealers, whores, dirty businessmen, and others. And yes, I did get tired of it. No more challenges in the world. So I decided to hide my self in a keeper's body so I could pass onto this life with ease".
Koenma was about to say something but thought about what she said. And decided he'd rather have his head still attached to his neck.
"Nice plan. Too bad Cainara was able to control you", said Hiei smirking.
Koroshiya glared at him and replied, "Yes, it was a shame wasn't it. I underestimated that girl. To bad she was chosen for the path of good. She would have made an excellent partner".
The room went silent and no one had anything else to really say. That was when Koroshiya decided to stick around for a while to see what these demons and people were like. She closed her eyes and the blue haze came back once more. But this time swirled around Koroshiya for only a moment then revealed Cainara.
"Ice blue hair and eyes. Scepter. Regular clothing. Yup, that's my girl", thought Yusuke while walking over to Cainara and catching her right before she fell.
"I'll take her up to bed", he said while carrying Cainara up the stairs and to her room.
"Does Koroshiya have ice powers too?" asked a very confused and curious Koenma.
"Yes, must be the Dark Ice", said Kurama while pondering the though.
"*Gulp* ...d-d-Dark Ice?" replied Koenma beginning to shiver.
Kurama turned to him and said, "Yes. You see there are 2 sets of keepers. There is the good set that protects people and uses their powers for good. Then there is the bad set that uses their powers for evil and only wishes to gain more power. Take Hiei for example. I'm not quite sure how but somehow got his hands on the Dark Flame".
Hiei smiled to himself before saying, "You forgot to mention how each one carries the element with them. Some carry it inside them and the only way to kill the element is to kill the keeper. Others carry an element outside their bodies. Destroy the element you destroy all of it".
"...So that's why she's so important..." said Koenma easing his tension a little. "It's getting a late. We should finish this tomorrow. Besides it's almost my bed time" he said.
They all looked outside to see the moon full and high. It was really quite odd that they were able to spend the whole talking. But it was getting late and all of them were tired. They said their good byes and headed up to bed. While in the bed the only two who were able to sleep was Cainara and Kuwabara. Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei were all thinking about what they were going to do. It would be a great advantaged to have her on their side. But would she except? Would she just stay with them? With the questions running through their mind they were able to lay their heads back and fall into a deep sleep.
