Cainara: this is a mix chapter. Humor...battles...calm scene...etc. I think this
is going to be a very interesting chapter. O yea....i don't own anything but
Cainara and Kamo
Little did they know a villain lurked in the bushes. He had been watching Cainara for the past few weeks waiting for his time to strike. Seeing that Cainara had been left with only a mire ningen, this was that time. He was a bounty hunter. He was trying to kill off all keepers. Starting with Cainara....luckily. His name Natiku.
-Back to Kurama-
"Yukina!" Shouted Kurama while aimlessly running and dodging the trees. He turned his head to see Yukina sitting by a water's edge.
"Ah Yukina! You must listen..." and with that Kurama began to tell Yukina of Cainara and the battle between her and Kuwabara. He told her that Kuwabara wounds could not heal themselves as well as they could if she helped them. Also that no one else really wanted to touch Kuwabara and that she would be the only one who actually wants to be within range of him. She agreed and they were off to the apartment once more.
-Back to Hiei-
"HOLY COW! SHE SAID YES?" asked a very wide-eyed Koenma.
Hiei stared down at Koenma while saying, "Yes. Keeper's are suppose to live their life separate from others but I think...*twitches eye* love...has something to do with it".
Koenma's eyes softened while he walked over to his chair and sat down leaning back, "A battle demon...and a keeper..." his voice trailed off with his thoughts right behind it, "Hiei, do you remember that tale about a great hero who seemed to control winter...or something like that".
Hiei still keeping his eyes on Koenma thought about the tale and replies, "Yes I do. But we have a small problem. If Koroshiya is still within Cainara then Koroshiya's genetics are bound to be within the child. I don't think I have to tell you what that means".
Koenma eye's went dark into fear and frowned, but then picked himself up and said. "Well this isn't supposed to happen for a long time anyway! I mean he's 15. Cainara's probably as old as the earth though...since...the whole keeper thing but that doesn't really matter...eeerr...Do you think Cainara...could...supposedly...emerge with Koroshiya?"
"...I have no idea. And I don't really care..." said Hiei trying to end the conversation.
Koenma stared hard at Hiei for a moment. He then waved him off and Hiei was off back to the apartment.
- Back to Yusuke and Cainara-
Cainara walked out onto the front lawn and took a deep breath of fresh air. She didn't find Kamo but he was probably off in the woods out back. She spotted a near by bench. She took a seat then leaned back and looked up into the blossomed Cherry Tree. Thinking how she's not to friendly with the color pink...the Cherry Tree made it such a vibrant color. Cainara sat up once more and let out a small shriek when she found Yusuke standing in front of her. Not saying a word he took a seat next to her and stared. The moment was not awkward, happy, exciting, scary, or any emotion at all. Cainara has never been in a situation like this, she wasn't sure what to do. Yusuke read her like a book and scooted over. He let her hand rest in his. Knowing she really shouldn't get into her feelings she hesitated. Those big tender brown eyes of Yusuke's calmed herself. They both smiled and leaned back into the bench feeling the breeze move silently with a chill around them. Yusuke's patients grew weak, "oh fuck it!" he thought to himself. He grabbed Cainara and with her lips only two inches away from his she pushed him away making him fall. Yusuke's heart felt like it ripped into to and he couldn't breath. But his eyes spotted the small dagger that was stuck in the bench only one inch away from Cainara's now very pale face. Yusuke ran over to Cainara and grabbed her arm pulling her inside the house. Trembling in Yusuke's arms Cainara could not feel her heart because of how scared she was. Yusuke's anger was rising and was reading to shoot off just about anyone's head. They both stood back about 10 feet from the front door...waiting. The door slowly opened and in came an unfamiliar figure with black hair that hung widely over the tops of his shoulders. He had huge black wings with dark midnight skin to match. Cainara looked into his dark garnet red eyes and turned away. The figure looked just like a gargoyle... expect...alive.
"Cainara it's time to leave", he said walking towards the two with an ugly smile showing his curled fangs. "Another step and say good bye to your ugly head!" Said Yusuke holding out his spirit gun. "Oh my my my...Where are my manners...My name is Natiku and I'm here for the girl", he said dragging on every word and holding out is hand. "Well that's too bad. I like her to much to let her go", said Yusuke using his snap like humor to stall time to get more information out of Natiku. "Listen ningen I don't care if you're in love I'm taking Cainara and that's final!"
After his final word Natiku sprang at the two. Yusuke fired off one shot and the top of it sailed against the skin of Natiku's right leg. He screamed in pain still standing, he looked down at his leg and screamed out in anger. "Well that's a relief, my spirit gun has an affect on him", thought Yusuke to himself while running to Natiku and round kicking the side of Natiku's head. Natiku hit the wall, which made an imprint of his body, and he fell to the floor. Yusuke thought to himself how this is was to easy and how Natiku must be holding back...but he wasn't. Natiku was just a lousy fighter. He had been sent to test Yusuke's skills. Yusuke walked over to Natiku who now hung his head ready to be killed. "Cainara you might not want to see this..." said Yusuke holding out his spirit gun right into Natiku's mouth. She understood and ran into the kitchen holding her ears and shutting her eyes tight making sure not see or hear one part of Natiku's defeat.
-------------Ok this is the part when Natiku's corpse dissolves; so if you got a weak stomach don't read this... I guess----------
"Open wide..." said Yusuke firing his spirit gun. Natiku's head burst open causing the insides to hit against the ceiling and fall back down onto the corpse. Yusuke lowered his hand and looked down upon himself. His jeans were now stained with dark purple mush and blood. Looking at his once blue shirt...it was now a dark maroon color. His arms had dried blood on them and he was sure it was the same for his face. He looked down at the body and saw the skin begin to bubble. He took several steps back and watched the skin melt away onto the floor still bubbling. "...Eeewww...it's cooookinggg..." said Yusuke while laughing as he watched Natiku's muscles and organs fall off the corpse and onto the floor. There they turned into ash and melted in with the skin. The bones disintegrated at once and the small pieces of dust drifted into the... 'soup'. There it began to heat up and cook. It got so hot that the heat turned all of it turn to ash. There a draft picked it up and out the open door. After a moment Yusuke's eye began to twitch and he said aloud, "Ok I'm not hungry anymore".

Cainara stayed like that for a long time humming a song to herself to make sure she couldn't hear a thing, also to calm herself a little. Finally a pair of arms wrapped tightly around her. She struggled to get out until the soft voice of Yusuke made her stop. She was about to bury herself in his chest but backed away, "Yusuke you're covered in blood!" she said twitching her eye. "Haha, yea...I'm going to take a shower. If Kurama and Hiei return just tell them where I am", he said while going off to the bathroom. She nodded her head and went into the front hallway where the fight took place. She noticed the dried bloodstains just about everywhere...and who knows how Kurama and Hiei will react to the wall...
Well she was about to find out. Kurama walked through the door with Yukina right behind him. Kurama's eyes immediately fell upon the wall. He stared and decided to take care of it another day. He then led Yukina to the back where Kuwabara still laid. Kurama and Yukina looked down upon him and Kuwabara said, "Am I not suppose to be able to feel my back". Yukina laughed a little and began to heal him while Kurama shook his head and walked back inside the house to ask Cainara what in the world happened. Cainara told him about Natiku and how he wanted to take her away. The two drifted off the subject and onto many different things. They stopped when they heard the door open and they rushed to find Hiei standing in front of the door. He raised one eyebrow and Cainara told the story once more. Hiei replied that he knew Natiku and said he was a lousy bounty hunter who did other demon's biddings.
Cainara was quite hungry and Kurama and Hiei said they were too a little hungry. Cainara went off into the kitchen to make dinner. Kurama and Hiei went to the living room to talk about why Natiku was there. Cainara was chopping vegetables and thinking of different things when she heard Yukina's scream pierce Cainara's thoughts.
