The Rose

The Rose it blooms
By the passing of moons

Serenity sighed as she stared longingly at Earth.
"Oh how I wish I could be there," she whispered

Its dewy petals cry in vain
Its thorny stem cries in pain

Mamoru paused for a moment and stared at the moon
"Serenity... how I wish you were here" He breathed

The rose it blushes at a dove
Crimson red, as it is in love

Serenity snuck around guards and teleported to Earth
She planted a passionate kiss on his lips when she arrived.

Softly swaying in the breeze
Shivering slightly, it begins to freeze

Years pass and the young lovers have married
"I am so happy Mamo-Chan" Serenity said

Icy breaths blow on the rose
It's also nipping at your nose

Mamoru was growing old,
But Serenity was not. The rose starts breaking, slowly falling
Then time almost stops, it's barely crawling

"Mamoru! Please... dont leave yet... " She sobbed
"I'm sorry love... but I must... I love you" he whisperes

And sadly the rose is dead
Forever remembered in my head.
