Sorry its taken me ages to update but I've been really busy these last few weeks with school work, ½ term holiday, watching the new Harry Potter film (which is fantastic!) and other things!

Chapter 13: The Ball Begins
It was a beautiful, warm summer's night in the kingdom as guest arrived at the Kamiya's magnificent castle. It was the night of the ball, and princess's from all over the world had come to this historic gathering, for there was a rumour that Prince Taichi will choose his future queen tonight.
Inside the Grand Hall, the guests were gathering whilst the music played and the butlers walked around with dishes of delicious food. The guests were dancing, talking, laughing, and having the times of their lives. Everywhere you looked there were princesses and their families from every kingdom in the world. But one family was missing. The host and her son had not made an appearance yet.
TK was making his way through the crowd, to a room next to the Grand Hall. He knocked on the door and waited for an answer. When he heard it, he entered, and bowed to the Queen, and her son, Prince Taichi, who were just putting the finishing touches to their royal clothes which they were to wear to the ball.
"Your highness…" started TK
"Yes TK, what is it?" asked the Queen
"I am sorry to disturb you, but the hall is getting rather crowded."
"Very well, you may begin the introductions. Just make sure that everything is perfect."
"Yes your highness," said TK as he bowed again and exited the room, slowly closing the door behind him. Once she was sure that TK was gone, the Queen turned around in her chair to face her son.
"Promise Taichi," she said, "you'll tell me who she is the moment she arrives."
"Don't worry mother you'll know," answered Taichi, "Believe me you'll know."
Meanwhile, at Swan Lake, Hawkmon, Frogmon and Gomamon were trying to think of a plan to rescue Sora, and to get her to the ball. They had been unsuccessful so far, until…
"Huh!" exclaimed Hawkmon suddenly
"What?" asked Gomamon, recovering from the heart attack Hawkmon just gave him.
"It's coming!" said Hawkmon
"What is?" asked Frogmon eagerly
"An idea!" said Hawkmon, "A large, massive, tremendous idea!"
"Sounds big," said Gomamon
"I've got it!" shouted Hawkmon, "Water leaks into the dungeon right? Well, if there's a leak, there must be a hole. We find the hole, make it bigger, and then she's free! It's as simple as that!"
"I think you're forgetting 2 things," said Frogmon, pointing to the lake. Hawkmon and Gomamon followed his gaze and saw what Frogmon meant. In the lake, the two alligatormon were watching their every move.
"His majesty's got a point," said Gomamon
"No problem," said Hawkmon, "first, we need a scout-"
"ARE YOU CRAZY!" shouted Frogmon, "Who's going to jump into this moat?"
"He's got to be a good swimmer," said Hawkmon winking at Gomamon
"I'll say…" said Frogmon
"He's gotta be small too," said Gomamon catching onto Hawkmon's plan
"Yes, he has to be tiny!"
"And it wouldn't hurt if he was green for camouflage," said Hawkmon
"Sure, green!" said Frogmon, "He's got to be small, a good swimmer, and green… oh no! You're taking about me!"
"No, really?" asked Gomamon sarcastically
"No, no way," said Frogmon, "I wouldn't jump in there in a million years!"
"But Biyomon will probably kiss you once you save her," said Hawkmon
"OK, I'll do it," said Frogmon, surprising Hawkmon and Gomamon.

I am so sorry that this chapter was short and rubbish, but it is important. It builds up to what's coming next in the next few chapters (which is very dramatic!). Please R&R and I'll put the next chapter up asap!
