Wow, I can't believe it! This fic is nearly finished! I only have a few more chapters to write! I'm putting two chapters up now (cause they're pretty short) and then I'm gonna put the last two chapters up on Monday, along with the next chapter of 'Taken', which is also nearly finished.

The Biyomon Princess

Chapter 16- The announcement

At the Kamiya's castle, everyone was watching the happy couple dancing. They had all formed a circle in the middle of the hall where the couple were dancing to the beautiful music, played by Izzy and the royal orchestra.  Everyone was happy that Princess Sora had returned, and they hoped that Taichi and Sora would at last marry, so that the two kingdoms would join as one. Nothing could go wrong now that Sora was back, or so they thought.

As Taichi was dancing with Sora, he felt that something was different than the last time he and Sora danced. Sora was a graceful dancer, the best he'd ever seen. This Sora was a little more… clumsy was the best way to put it. He decided to voice his thoughts. He stopped dancing.

"Something about you seems…I don't know…different," he said

The fake Sora (in case you didn't know, this Sora is a fake) looked up at Taichi, confused. What was he talking about? Then she had an idea. She took out the necklace that Taichi had given to the real Sora all those years ago, and held it out to him, indicating that he put it on her.

"Don't worry," she said in her angelic voice, "after tonight, everything will be perfect."

Taichi looked into 'Sora's' eyes, and immediately, all his doubts went away. 'She's only different because she's still under that spell, and I will break it!' he thought. He took the necklace from her hand, and placed it around her neck. He then took up the dancing position again, and they started to dance again.

"Yes, yes of course it will!"

They continued dancing for another few minutes, never taking their eyes off each other, until Taichi called over to Izzy.

"Izzy, I want to make an announcement. Stop the music!"

Izzy nodded at Taichi, then indicated the band to stop playing. All of the musicians did, apart from 1 flute player, who continued playing until he was hit on the head!

Biyomon was flying as fast as she could to get to the Kamiya's castle. She was flying over the dark forest, where Taichi had seen her in the form she was in now, and had followed her to Swan Lake. As she flew underneath the brilliantly bright moon, she saw the Kamiya's castle in the distance.

'Only a little further to go! Please, don't let me be too late!'

The couple had now stopped dancing. As the audience applauded them, Taichi bowed to 'Sora', and she curtsied to him. Then, walking had in hand, then made their way to where two thrones had been placed, so that Taichi could make a speech.

Faster and faster Biyomon flew, the castle just ahead of her. She knew something was wrong, and she had to find out what. Taichi was her only chance of being free of the spell, otherwise, she would die. At last she reached the castle, but none of the windows were open. They had all been locked. She couldn't get in!

As Biyomon looked at the crowd in the hall, which had now formed into another formed into a circle, she saw Taichi, but that's not all she saw. Someone was standing next to him. She wore a long black dress, her hair was bright red just like hers (when she's a human), and she wore the same necklace Taichi had given her when she was a baby. As she looked closer, she saw that it was her! 'But, how is that possible? Unless…oh no! Yamato must have cast another spell, to make some girl look like me! No Taichi! That's not me!'

Taichi looked around the hall. Every single person in the room was now looking at him. It was now or never.

"Kings and Queens, Lady's and Gentlemen, Mother," he started, "I have an announcement to make. Today, I have found my bride…"

Biyomon could only watch. She couldn't get in to stop Taichi. She had to think of a way of getting Taichi to see her. Then, it hit her! If she couldn't get in, she could at least try and get Taichi to see her in the window! She looked down at Taichi to see which way he was looking. He was facing directly opposite her. So, Sora took off again, and flew as fast as she could to the other window. She could hear Taichi still talking.

"…I present her to you, as the future queen of our kingdom…"

Unfortunately for her, the plan wasn't going to work. As she flew to the other window, the fake Sora had spotted her. She knew that Yamato's plan couldn't fail, or she'd face the consequences. She had to stop Taichi from looking at Biyomon. So as Biyomon flew, she pulled gently on Taichi's arm, so that know he was facing when Sora used to be.

Taichi didn't know why 'Sora' had pulled on his arm, but he didn't mind. As long as she was back with him, he was happy. He continued with his speech.

"…and as proof for my love for her…"

Biyomon got to the other side of the hall and was now hovering in front of another window. But as she looked in, she saw that he was now facing the other way, so his back was to her. She had to fly back, and quickly.

The fake Sora saw what Biyomon was doing, and once again, she gentle pulled Taichi so that his back was once again to Biyomon. This time, she placed her head on Taichi's shoulder, as Taichi continued to talk.

"…I make a vowel to break all vowels. A vowel stronger than all the powers of the earth…"

Biyomon got back to the first window, and saw that once again, Taichi's back was to her. 'But, how is that possible? What's going on?'

Her question was soon answered. The fake Sora looked up at Biyomon, and gave her an evil glare.

'So that's what's going on! She's making sure Taichi doesn't see me. I have to get in to stop her!'

She flew to another window and tried to open it with her beak, but sadly, this one was locked too. As she flew off to find another window, she could still here Taichi.

"…before you, and before the whole world…"

She flew to every window she could, but all of them were locked. She was panicking now. What was she to do? She couldn't get into the castle, and she couldn't get Taichi to see her. Not with that fake Sora in here. She flew back to the first window and tried to call to him.

"Taichi, please don't!"

But Taichi couldn't here her. He continued to talk.

"…I make a vow of everlasting love…"

"TAICHI!"

"…to Sora."

"No!"

Sora felt her heart break. Taichi had made the vow to the wrong girl. Yamato had won. Now, it was too late for Sora. As she felt her strength leaving her, she knew she had to leave Taichi. She had to get back to the lake, before it was really too late for Taichi, and the kingdom.
