The Biyomon Princess
Chapter 18- I Love You!
-----------
Yamato's eyes went blank, and blue flames covered his bare hands, but he did not feel the burns. He chanted a spell under his breath. Then, he threw the blue flames onto the ground by his feet. The flames rose quickly and covered his body, hiding him from Taichi. Then Taichi heard a bloody curtailing scream; a scream that did not sound human. As the flames died away, Taichi saw that Yamato was no longer standing in front of him. Instead, a large, werewolf type digimon was there, his claws ready to attack, and his teeth ready to bite into his flesh. Taichi took a step back from the monster. All the time he spent in the library, researching who or what he thought had kidnapped Sora, he had never once seen a picture of the monster. But now, Taichi was face to face with it.
"The Great Animal, Weregarurumon!"
Weregarurmon howled again, the sound travelling for mile through the quiet, empty forest. The three digimon watched from a near by bush, as Weregarurmon got ready to attack.
"I'm betting on Weregarurmon," said Frogmon, shaking
"How could you!" said an angry Gomamon, "we have to believe in Prince Taichi, so that Sora will come back!"
Taichi stood there, facing the monster before him. He knew that he had to defeat it to save Sora. But he also knew that Weregarurumon could kill him in an instant. His mind made up, he drew his sword and charged at Weregarurumon, but Weregarurumon was one step ahead of him.
As Taichi was about to strike him in the heart, he knocked his sword out of his hand, then pinned him down on the ground, holding him by his shoulders. Taichi struggled to get free, but was unsuccessful. Weregarurumon's grip was too strong. He tried to reach for his sword, but it was too far away. He looked up at Weregarurumon. He was lifting up one of his paws (a/n: not sure if this is right, but I'm just gonna say paws!), about to strike, the other paw now holding him down by his neck. If Taichi didn't think of something soon, he would be sliced!
Taichi looked around him for anything that would help him escape the monster's grip. Weregarurumon's claws were out, ready to strike into living flesh. Taichi kept his eyes on Weregarurmon, and used his hands to feel around him for something that would help him escape. As Weregarurumon's claws were about to hit Taichi, he grabbed a pile of dirt in his hands and threw it into Weregarurumon's eyes. He howled out in pain, and released Taichi to get the dirt out of his eyes.
As quick as lightning, Taichi got up and grabbed his sword. When he saw that Weregarurumon was still struggling to get the dirt out of his eyes, he took his chance. Once again he charged at the monster, ready to strike. Weregarurumon didn't see him coming, but he felt Taichi's sword strike him left arm. He looked at the wound; it was deep, and bleeding badly. Then he looked back to Taichi. He had his blood stained sword in his hand, ready to strike again.
"I won't let her die!" he shouted to Weregarurumon
Weregarurumon smiled. He had a plan to destroy Prince Taichi once and for all. He slowly walked back into the dense forest never taking his eyes off Taichi, and disappeared from sight. Taichi became nervous. He looked around the area, to see if anything moved behind the trees. Birds suddenly took off behind him. He turned around prepared to strike, but apart from the birds, nothing was there. His heart was beating faster and faster. Something had scared those birds. He lowered his sword a little. How could he attack his enemy when he couldn't see or hear it? That's when he did hear it.
Weregarurumon jumped out of a tree behind him. Taichi turned around, but he was not fast enough to escape. Once again Weregarurmon held him down to the ground with one of his paws. He then picked up Taichi's sword with his other paw, and held it above himself and Taichi. Taichi's eyes widened. He was going to use his own sword to kill him with. He had failed Sora. But the blow never came. Weregarurumon didn't use the sword to kill Taichi. Instead, he put it in his mouth, and bite it with his razor sharp teeth, causing it to break in half. The two half's of the once magnificent sword fell silently to the ground.
Now Taichi was in for it. With his sword broken, he had no proper weapon to defeat the Great Animal. But even against these odds, he was still willing to fight for Sora. He felt around for something else to help him get free from Weregarurumon's grip. He knew that dirt wouldn't work this time. He felt a large stone by his left leg. Immediately, he picked it up and hit Weregarurumon's paw. Weregarurumon howled out in pain again, and released Taichi. As Taichi tried to get away, Weregarurumon used his claws and hit him against his chest. Taichi yelled out in pain, and tried to get away from the monster's reach. He looked down at his chest. He had three lines across his chest, each one bleeding.
Meanwhile, in the bushes, the three digimon were watching the whole battle, taking place in front of them. They knew they had to help Taichi defeat the monster, but how, and what with? That's when Hawkmon remembered something.
"Taichi's bow is still in the lake!" he exclaimed.
He turned around and picked up Frogmon, and then began to run to the waters edge.
"Hey, what are you doing?" cried Frogmon, "let me go! Let me-"
"Frogmon," said Hawkmon, ignoring Frogmon's cries, "swim to the bottom of the lake, and get Taichi's bow! He needs it to defeat the Great Animal!"
Then, when they reached the water, Hawkmon threw Frogmon into the water.
-----------
Weregarurumon charged at Taichi. Taichi backed up, until his back was against a tree. He had nowhere to run. He was trapped. Weregarurmon grabbed Taichi and held him tightly with one arm, then used his other arm to climb the trees. Taichi struggled to get free, and yelled at the monster to let him go, but he would not listen. Higher and higher he climbed, until he was at the top of the tallest tree, but he didn't stop there. He jumped into the sky, still holding onto Taichi. Taichi once again called to Weregarurumon to release him, and this time, he did. He threw Taichi with all this strength towards another tree nearby, then fell back down onto the tree he had just jumped from. He then jumped again to where Taichi was going to land.
Taichi yelled out as his back collided with the other tree, but he quickly got up. He quickly looked down to see just how high he was. He soon regretted it as he saw that he was about 100ft in the air. Then he heard Weregarurumon growl. He looked up and saw him coming towards him. He knew that he had to win, and even though he was injured, he was not done fighting yet. He grabbed a larch branch from the tree, and used it to try and beat Weregarurumon away from him.
-----------
Frogmon was swimming as fast as he could. He had to find that bow and help Taichi. He searched and searched, keeping an eye out for the alligatormon, until he finally saw it at the bottom of the lake. He swam towards.
-----------
Taichi continued to fight the monster with the branch, but he knew it wasn't enough. Weregarurumon was too strong for him. Taichi tried to hit him around the face, but the monster was too quick for him. He ducked as the branch came towards him, then tripped Taichi up using his legs. Taichi fell through the forest, the long branches hitting him as he fell. He landed on the ground, back first. He rolled over onto his stomach, and tried to get up, but he couldn't. He collapsed from the pain.
Weregarurumon saw Taichi on the ground, not moving. He jumped down to the ground, landing on his feet, and began to circle Taichi.
-----------
Frogmon was trying to get the bow out of the bottom of the lake, but it was stuck in the sand, and he was too weak to get it out on his own. Still he tried and tried, until it did come out! Amazed at his strength, he looked down at the bow, and then to the sand, but he saw that the ground was moving, and fast. Confused, he looked behind him, and saw Gomamon swimming, with the bow in his month. That's when he realised that Gomamon helped him get the bow out of the sand.
With Gomamon swimming at his fastest, they soon reached the surface. They looked for Taichi, and saw him unconscious on the ground, Weregarurumon circling him. Gomamon used all his strength to throw the bow to Taichi, but Frogmon forgot to let go! He closed his eyes and held onto the bow, as it flew through the air, and landed beside Taichi.
He opened his eye when nothing was moving, and saw that he had landed. But he also saw that Taichi still wasn't moving. Panicking, he ran to Taichi, and began to hit his face to wake him up.
"Taichi," he shouted, "Prince Taichi! Wake up! We have your bow!"
Taichi slowly opened his eyes, and saw Frogmon next to him pointing at something. When he saw his bow, he quickly got up and grabbed it. Frogmon wished him good luck and ran into the bushes. Taichi took up his position and reached for an arrow, but he forgot that he didn't have any. Weregarurumon saw Taichi's worried face, and knew that it was time for one of them to die. He charged at Taichi.
Taichi saw Weregarurumon coming towards him. He knew that battle was nearly over, and that only one of them would survive. He was about to give up to death, when he heard a familiar voice on the other side of the lake. He turned around as the voice called to him again.
"Taichi!"
"Joe?"
Taichi saw that Joe was in his firing position, and bow in his hand, loaded with an arrow. Taichi knew what he was going to do. After all, they practiced it 100 times. It was catch and fire. Taichi got ready and signalled to Joe to fire. Joe obeyed, and shot the arrow at Taichi.
The arrow came closer and closer, looking like it was about to hit Taichi. But before it did, he caught it. Taichi then loaded his own bow, and shot the arrow at Weregarurumon. The monster screamed out in pain. The arrow had hit him in the heart. He stumbled backwards, a blue glow appearing around him. He then fell into the lake. As his body hit the water, there was a huge explosion, and the powers that had once belonged to Yamato, disappeared for good. A few blue rays shot into the forest, then, along with the rest of the dark powers, they too disappeared.
Taichi couldn't believe it. He had won. He had beaten the Great Animal, and he had defeated Yamato. He dropped his bow, and walked to where the old ruined garden was.
Joe, who was still on the other side of the lake, couldn't believe what had just happened, and what he'd just down. He fainted once it all sank in. But the digimon on the other hand, were ecstatic. Yamato had finally been defeated for good! But they soon stopped celebrating, when they saw Taichi holding Sora's body in his arms.
"Forgive Sora," he whispered, tears once again filling his eyes, "I only wanted to break the spell, to prove my love. I love you, for your courage and kindness. I always have!"
Taichi kissed Sora on the forehead, then held her body closer to his, resting her head on his chest. He let a tear fall down his cheek. He was about to take her body back to the castle for her to be buried, when he noticed that her skin was no longer cold anymore. It was warm, and he felt someone breathing on his chest.. Then he heard a voice. An angelic voice, which he longed to hear everyday. He looked down, and smiled when he saw her eye's open.
"Taichi?"
"Sora? You're alive!"
"Oh Taichi, thank you for saving me! I love you too!"
Sora threw her arms around Taichi's neck and held him. Taichi put his arms around her waist and held her too, never wanting to let her go. They didn't want to lose each other again. The three digimon watched from the side, smiling at the happy couple.
"Well, there you have it. Ever lasting love."
