A/n Ok, this is my first original chapter of the new version of LotM. Fun. So I hope you like the new version better. Latta!

-FROM THE LAST CHAPTER-

"I know, I know... you have a little training, and you fight well, but you still need more training."

I gave him a soft laugh.

"Look who's talking. I'm not the only one who needs training. You attack without thinking sometimes. You know, without a strategy, not very safe if you ask me."

"So I'm a little rusty. Man, you're starting to sound like my brother."

"Haha, I don't know weather to be insulted by that, or amused."

"Well, speaking of my brother, we need to get back to the castle. He'll train us. And God knows Kagome needs it."

"Ok, fine, I don't know how Sango will take it though."

We finally talked Sango into coming to the castle with us. She really wasn't happy about visiting a place run by demons, and we were sure that Sesshoumaru wouldn't like it either. I mean, how would you like it if you were a demon and your brother came home with a demon exterminator? But, we left anyway, promising Kaede that we would return. It was helpful to have Sango come along, due to the fact that Kagome and Sango could ride on Kirara's back and Inuyasha and I could run as fast as we wanted. I made a point of not letting the group stop until we were outside my village. The sun had set by the time we got to the village and we set up camp in the dark.

"I still don't understand why we couldn't have stopped in that last village." Sango said.

"Hell no. They don't like me there. Stopping wouldn't be the smartest idea in the world." I replied.

"I don't even want to know why."

I jumped into the nearest tree and stretched out.

"No, you don't." I said and yawned.

I was going to sleep lightly tonight. I didn't trust this territory. We were a few miles outside of my village and that meant it was Tiger territory. Tiger-demons don't like wolf demons or dog demons... or humans for that matter. They really didn't like anyone actually. Out of our whole group, the only one they would get along with was Kirara and she was fast asleep in Sango's lap. Inuyasha didn't notice my twitching ears and went right to sleep.

'Arrogant little ass.' I thought to myself. 'I guess I'm going to have to keep my ears on the lookout.'

Hours later, as I was dosing off, I heard a rustling in the bushes below me and some whispers.

"Hey, Neko, come look at this. Some travelers thinking they can camp in our lands." Said one.

The other chuckled.

"Can we have some fun with them, Taiga?" Neko asked.

"I don't see why not." Taiga replied, inching forward, getting ready to pounce.

Silently, I turned my sword to a staff and, just as one pounced, I leapt down and bashed it on the head, knocking it unconscious.

"Taiga!" The other cried.

"Don't worry, she's not dead......... yet." I said.

"You bitch!"

"Yes, I am a female wolf. Thank you, captain obvious."

She snarled and lunged. I sidestepped her attack and cracked her on the head, knocking her unconscious as well. I shook my head and said.

"Cats, can't live with them, can't do anything about them."

"Very nice, your form is a little off, but you've got talent." Came a voice from behind me.

I whirled around to find the last person I'd expect to find out here.........
A/n: Dum, dum, dum......... Mwahaha! Yes, I know, I'm writing short chapters lately, but the good thing is, I know what's going to happen in the next chapter. I've even started typing it. Yay. And guess what, I am evil......... More evil than you. I ate Hitler for breakfast. Why am I evil? I ran out of pixy sticks. Don't use the port 'o' potty, I'll tip it over......... door down.
