(Ps) Please, if you have any, give me some suggestions on what to write. Thanks!
(Begin story)
Bella the badger lay in her oversized bed, in the Abbey gatehouse. Being countless seasons old she could barely walk any more, much less have the energy to talk. But she still is as sharp in the mind as others, even though she would not be able to share her knowledge with other creatures.
Bella was no fool. She knew she will die in a matter of minutes. She decided to use this opportunity to look back on her life.
Images started to pop up in her head. Such as the day a brave mouse warrior had stepped into her home, wearing a broken sword, and having a sad past. She remember helping him in his quest for the legendary mountain Salamandastron. The work they had gone through with their friend gonft and Dinny.
That thief! She could still remember singing tunes, stealing pies, and playing with otters till the end of his days. And his son was just the same. Laughing, feasting, joking...
Bella also came across the memory of the good wildcat Gingivere. He and her wife. Both had been so kind when she and her creatures need help from the kind pair. She was glad that her friend had found happiness.
Speaking of help, Bella always had support from her old friend abbess Germain. She and her abbey mice were willing to help with anything that they could, such as healing, cooking, and giving council to others. It was really sad how they had been driven out of their home from a great sickness which still baffles many elders today.
The old badger had managed to dig up the memory of good hedgehog friend when she was still helping building the abbey which she lies. The hedgehog had such a beautiful singing voice, she could still in her mind hearing the maid singing a old marching song while helping pull up a huge heavy log.
Then a familiar image popped up in her mind. Her son, who was called Sunflash. He probably is still ruling at Salamandastron, giving out orders to his friendly, brave hares in his strong commanding voice. He was a good son to her. She silently wished his life well.
She suddenly began to think of her husband Barkstripe the farmer. She remembered when she was young and full of energy, she and him would travel in every direction. How much she wished she could have been with him longer. It was cruel how he was slain by vermin. He was such a nice badger, farmer, friend, and mate.
Suddenly Bella tired and her mind became hazy and eventually drifted off. Before she went to sleep, she saw a mouse with shining armor. It turned out that the mouse was Martin the warrior. When he spoke his voice was soothing.
"hello Bella, my old friend. it has been such a long time since I have seen you. It will be so nice to have your company back. Bella....welcome to the dark forest."
Bella felt something exit her body, and it felt cool and soothing. Slowly she closed her eyes. She was suddenly enveloped in mist, the only thing she saw was a gate. She slowly walked in as the gate shut.
The life of Bella of Brockhall was finished, her memory known forever in threshold of the peaceful Redwall.
