A/N Okay, here's the real first chapter. Just to warn you, the characters may get out of character.
Chapter Two: Auditions
Dorothy
Hermione:
"Some wheeeeeeeeeere OoOoOover the Raaaaainbow!"
"Thank you , Miss. Granger."
"Oh, but professor!" Hermione said, looking straight at the headmaster sitting in the seat before her. "You haven't heard me sing, 'The Yellow Brick Road'"
"Really, Miss. Granger, I don't think I'd..."
"Need to hear it, but I insist, Professor."
"No, Miss. Granger-"
"Follow the yellllowww brickkk roooaoaoaoad!"
"Next!"
Parvati:
"I see myself reaching Oz and returning home!" Parvati said, her eyes half closed and her hands over a fake crystal ball."
"Erm, Miss. Patil, Dorothy isn't a seer," Dumbledore said, rubbing his temples.
"Shhhh!" Parvati said, continuing to fake a trance.
"Professor," Dumbledore said, turning to Snape. "Would you please escort her out of here?"
"My pleasure, Headmaster," Snape said, an evil smirk smeared over his face.
Ginny:
"Follow the yellow brick road..." Ginny sang, dancing to stage left. Unfortunately for her, there was a pile of props, and she tripped over one, sending herself flying down off the stage, causing Dumbledore to wish he had retired early.
Scarecrow
"IiiiiiiiIiiiif I only had a braaayaaayan!" Draco sang, so a little dance across the stage. "Braaaayaaan!"
"Mr. Malfoy," Dumbledore said, not bothering to look up. "There isn't another 'brain' at the end of that."
Draco scoffed. "If that's so, I'll just owl my father and have him take care of things and change it."
Munchkins
"We represent, the wollydrop guild..." Fred and George sang, doing an oompa loompa type dance, one popping up while the other popped down.
"LOLLIPOP!" Flitwick piped up, almost falling off his stack of books.
"Ah, yes!" Fred said.
"As you can see, Professor, you want munchkins, you want us!" George added.
"Weasleys for office!"
Dumbledore decided to retire early.
