Daddy?

"You know what, I'll ask my dad," Paisley O'Neill smiled over the phone. "I don't think it'll be a problem."

"Why don't you ask your mom?" Amy, Paisley's best friend asked.

"She's out of town again. I better go before Brooklyn gets home, you know how she is on the phone," Paisley smiled. "Later Amy."

"Bye."

"Okie day, I think the Daddy strategy," Paisley mused to herself. Crawling off her bed, she made her way out of her room and into the living room where her father, Jack O'Neill was reading a book.

"Daddy, can I --"

"No," Jack answered not looking up from his book.

"But, I haven't even asked you yet," Paisley pouted sitting next to her father.

"Doesn't matter. Answer's no," Jack replied flipping the page in his book.

"But.... Daddy!" the seventeen year old whined.

"Nooooooooo," Jack said, drawing out his word.

"DADDY!" Paisley protested.

"All right. Okay, okay. What d'you want?" Jack asked closing his book.

"Can I borrow the car?" she asked hopefully.

"No. Why?"

"Well, there's this party and --"

"No! No car. No party. I'm gonna chain you to your bed and you'll never get free," Jack said a matter-of-factly opening his book and continued to read.

"Daddy!"

"Paisley!" Jack countered.

"Pllleeeeeaaaaassseee?"

"Okay okay. Let me think. Thinking, thinking, thinking. No," Jack replied.

"Fine. Can I go over to Amy's then?"

"Nope. Your Mom is coming home this evening, and you're babysitting. You got Stirling, Brooklyn, Andrew, Matthew and Tessa, have fun," Jack grinned standing up and walking out of the room. "Oh and baby."

"Yeah?" Paisley asked turning to her father.

"Love ya," Jack grinned.
