Settled dust,
Like ice on water,
Ringing in my open ears.
Pages hold me,
Maze of ink.
Consume my thoughts,
Become my fears.
Gently lead me on to shadow,
Seeing only light ahead.
Oblivious to growing cold
I feel them hold.
