(one-shot) COMMAND by: Pippinsgal011890
"So...can you sail under the command of a pirate.... Or can you not?" Asked Jack simply.
"I'd rather die."
"Very well then." Replied Jack as he sat back to watch as Will slowly slipped off of the mast.
(Star) He then smiled (gold toothily) as the blacksmith hit the water with a splash.
(Star) But then pondered on how he was going to bring his ship into Tortuga. Now, all by his onesie.
All of the sudden, Jack heard a frantic cry of: "I can! I can! I will sail under the command of a...a... Pirate."
Though the boy almost choked on the word 'pirate', the rest sounded sincere. And, if he did let Will aboard again, that would solve the rest of his crewing problems.....
(Star) In the end, a wet and rather pissed off Will, was hauled BACK aboard.
"Filthy pirate." Will scorned.
"And there is that MOUTH of yours again. I NEVER had this much of a problem with your father, just so you know." Jack retorted sarcastically.
"Is that so? I am starting to doubt my father's intelligence then." Will continued.
"Your father was a good man. And an even better Pirate."
"My father was not a PIRATE."
(Star) Will snapped, fingering the hilt of his sword, and envisioning himself running Jack through.
"Well of course he was, you dolt. What else could he possibly have been? A merchant sailor?" Jack said again. And yet still, with his usual hint of sarcasm.
(Star) He noticed Will holding onto his sword, and envisioned HIMSELF knocking Will off of the ship with the mast again. He smiled.
"Well.....um....yes. He was." Said Will abashed.
(Star) Jack just laughed, hearty and full-throated. After all, what could he say to that anyway?
"Enough! Let's settle this like men then...with swords." Said Will, tired of being laughed at. And by a pirate, to make matters worse.
"I don't want to beat you again lad." Replied Jack with a smile.
"You didn't beat me. You CHEATED. In a fair fight I'd kill you."
"Then that's not much incentive for me to fight fairly, now is it?" Jack retorted smugly.
"I don't care! I'm going to fight you either way." Said Will through clenched teeth.
"But you'll just end up back in the water."
"It doesn't matter, I'm all ready wet!" Will yelled.
"Well then, considering that you want this so much.....I refuse to fight you." Said Jack with another smile.
"Fine then. I WILL have my match eventually you know."
"Sure, of COURSE you will." Jack said, sitting back and pulling his hat down over his eyes.
"Turn the ship due east, and keep it there."
"Alright Jack." Said Will, turning the ship westward, a maniacal gleam in his eyes.
(Star) Jack smiled again to himself, thinking:
'It's a good thing the boy can't detect sarcasm well. TORTUGA is due West. What a dolt.'
FIN
Author: I was, once again, going for humor. I hope that is what came across. Let me know, please.
Also, someone told me that I was not supposed to do stories all in dialoge form (Thank you very much!) So the starred paragraphs in this one are actions and such.
Thus preventing this story from being all dialogue! HA HA HAAAA! Loop hole!
AND remember 2 REVIEW!
Thanx,
