Chapter 2

Ally waited desperately for Noah to come back to her. Luke had worked all-day and wanted a little candlelight dinner by the sea, but Ally could do nothing but think about Noah. Noah felt so stupid about leaving Ally over small things like sex, and what else called her a skank. 3 years after all of the shit happened, Ally could not bare to keep one question away from Noah, "Who is your girlfriend?". Ally saw him yesterday and she asked the question. Noah could not answer the question and stood there and stared. He wanted to apologize so badly to Ally, until she lifted her bony hand to reach for something and Noah saw it, a very elegant diamond ring on her ring finger. Noah was stunned and asked her about it. She did not reply as though he did to hers.
