Longing

I feel your hand upon mine, When we sit under a night sky, Yet I cannot see your eyes glisten Just like you say the stars do.

I feel your breath Mixed in with ocean breeze, Yet I cannot see you.

I feel your arm's warmth, With the sun's rays on us both. Yet I cannot see your glow.

I hear you laughing, For me and no one else, Yet I can't see your smile.

I hear your sweet voice, And feel you next to me.

There at night, At the darkest hour, I have a deep longing.

Just to see you.
