Dawson and Joey walked slowly out of the cabin side by side. They made their way down the steps of the cabins porch and began walking towards a lake further away from the camp-site. Everything was silent, neither said a word to one another until they finally made it to the lake. They both stopped and looked at each other. Joey opened her mouth as if she was about to say something while Dawson looked on expectantly, but she said nothing and just continued looking at the lake.
"Joey?" Dawson asks tilting his head down so he could be face-to-face with Joey who's head was down.

"It doesn't seem like it." Dawson says with a tad bit more attitude.
"What are you doing here?" She asks sounding almost upset.
"What am I-- Joey I'm here to see you-- to talk to you, to figure things out."
"Figure what out Dawson?"
"Are-- are you mad at me? Are you upset that I came?"
"No Dawson."
"Then what is it-- I mean I'm the one that should be upset you dumped me remember." He says louder.
"It's because I'm--
"You're what?"
"It's because I'm ashamed Dawson."
Dawson looks at her his expression softening.
"Ashamed of what Joey?"
"Ashamed of what I said to you--ashamed of hurting you again." Joey says tears welling up.
"Jo, I just need to know that things are going to be alright with us again."
"Why do you only have six weeks to live or something?" She asks in sarcasm feeling a little better that he wanted to mend fences.
"No." He says chuckling.
"Then what?"
"I think I'm gonna go ahead and join my mom in Philadelphia for the rest of the summer, and I just couldn't go knowing that things were still unsettled between us."
"Dawson...we broke up."
"Yeah I sort of figured that out when you walked away from me." He says his tone growing a little bitter, cringing at the thought. She just holds her head down a little.
"Dawson I'm sorry."
"Me too." He says nodding. "But life goes on right--people evolve." He says sincerely, remembering what she had told him that day in the beauty pageant interview.
She just smiles at his new found maturity.
"Are you sure?"
"No." They both laugh. He sighs heavily." But I'm working on it."
"Well I hope you have a good time in Philly."
"God I hope so." They laugh again.
"Is it too much to ask for a hug?"

They hug for a couple seconds and then they pull apart.
"Alright I guess I'll see you..."
"A couple weeks before school starts I think."
"Well then, I guess I'll see you then."

"Dawson!!!!" A familiar voice yells from not too far away.
"What?!" He yells still looking at Joey knowing its just Jack.
"Get your can in the car! If I'm gonna get you back we gotta get going now!"
"Alright I'm coming. I have to get going."

With that he walks away heading to the car. Joey approaches giving him one lat hug.
"Aww that's sweet--can we go now?" Jack says smiling ear to ear.
"Yeah." Dawson gets into the passengers seat and closes the door. He waves one last time as they drive off.

Sunset is beginning to take place as Pacey walks through the a wooded area behind the cabins. He stops when he hears Andie yelling indistinctively.
"What the hell?" He says to himself.
He starts walking in the direction that the noise is coming from. He makes t out of the woods and begins walking towards Andie who is standing behind one of the boys cabin arguing with one of the boys.
"Andie what's the matter?"
"This kid is getting on my last nerve Pacey."
"What did he do."
"I found him in the girls' cabin trying to look at one of the girls changing! The little pervert." Andie says obviously overreacting grabbing his arm."Listen you little--
"Andie calm down alright." Pacey says trying to calm her down rubbing her shoulders.

"No,no you're not. Why don't you go inside and get some rest."
"Don't do that Pacey."

"Trying to be the hero again. I don't need you to tell me what to do like I'm five years old or something."

"Gotta have something to keep me sane around all these kids you know."

"I have some pizza."
