A/N: This here is the last addition to Witchita Creek. I hope you've all had fun reading this story, as much as I had fun writing it. Thank you all for the reviews I appreciate it vary much. Now here's the end of the story. And it goes a little something like this....

Andie shifted her eyes from Joey to Pacey who were staring blankly at one another. She repeated the previous question once more to wrap her head around his last statement.

"You knew?" She asked for the last time.

"Yes." He responded shifting his eyes quickly to Andie then back to Joey.

"Why didn't you say anything? And how did you find out?" Andie asked quizzically.

"I over heard you guys that day in the bathroom."

"Since day one." Joey said almost inaudibly.

"Since day one." He repeated.

Everyone was silent. Jen spoke up.

"Well isn't this a nice turn of events." She said mockingly.

"Pacey...if you knew, why didn't you say anything?" Joe asked somberly.

"I don't--I honestly don't know. I guess I kind of figured and/or hoped that you would bring it up."

"Why would I bring it up? That bet was between me, Jen and Abby."

"Don't forget me."

"Pace...it had nothing to do with you."

"It doesn't?"

"No."

"Ok. Riddle me this Josephine: How did you plan on winning the bet?"

(pause)

"With me that is. How could you possibly win the bet without..."

Jen, Jack, and Andie stared silently at the two. Joey stood there like a deer in headlights. She was now embarrassed.

"Pacey, I--"

"So you are using him." Andie finished.

"Why didn't you tell me Jo?" He asked with warmth.

"Because then...you would've thought that I was just with you for all the wrong reasons and--"

"And you weren't?"

"No--I mean yes--look, I wish I had all the answers to these questions Pacey, but I don't. Maybe I was just with you so I could have a better chance at winning the bet. Or maybe I wasn't. Maybe you came as a surprise to me and for a second I actually forgot about that stupid bet. I just...don't know." She said almost crying.

"Well that makes me feel better." He replied exhaling sharply.

The DJ walked up the steps and approached Pacey first.

"Ya'll gotta go." He said simply motioning toward the dance floor.

Pacey looked at Joey again with an angst ridden expression.

"No problem." He said detached. Then went down the booth steps and headed out the door. Joey hid her tears and went down the steps also. She walked out of the emergency exit doors that were at the opposite end of the entrance. Andie, and Jack left out the exit door too. Jen walked out of the entrance door.

Jen made her way outside and looked from left to right to see if she noticed Pacey wondering around anywhere. She looked over to her left and there he was sitting on the grass beside the sidewalk that led into the dance. Jen trotted down the slanted in way and walked over to the newly depressed boy.

"You ok?" She asked still standing looking down at him.

"What do you think?" He asked looking up at her.

"I think that you guys need to have a serious and honest talk. Sans the audience."

"Not the best idea right now." He replied.

"Why not?"

"Because--" He began, his voice rising.

"Because--?"

"I'm pissed."

"About...what?"

"What you weren't in there just now?"

"Yeah I was in there."

"And you don't think that there's something wrong with this? Oh, wait. Who am I talking to? You were in on the bet too."

"Yes I was." She said quietly.

"So who are you using?"

"Look Pacey, I understand that you're angry. I'm just not sure why."

"What??"

"Well you knew about the bet from the beginning so why are you mad? I mean, you knew when you guys first got together, you knew when you were kissing her--what were you waiting for? For her to tell you? Or--"

Pacey didn't have a good answer. He was apprehensive to tell her what answer he did have. He was afraid of sounding foolish.

"Pacey?"

"I guess...I just wanted to be with her regardless."

"Even though you knew about the bet?"

"Even though I knew about the bet."

"So...what--did you plan on (coughs) with her?"

"The thought crossed my mind."

Jen smiled and elbowed him. They both started laughing.

"I knew it, you dog!" She said containing laughter.

"No--no."

"Yes--yes." She replied giggling.

"When's this bet gonna be over?"

"Tonight." She answered her smile fading. She just realized--tonight was her last chance.

"Hmm. Guess I screwed things up for Joey huh?"

"I don't know." Jen said absently. "Go to her." She said nudging him. "Go find out."

"Yeah, why not." He said getting up chuckling. "You ok Lindley?"

"Oh, yeah. You should get going."

"Alright." He said walking off. "Good luck." He hollered out.

"Gee thanks!" She hollered back sarcastically.

Pacey walked by Joey's cabin and stopped. The light was on, so she was probably in there. He paused and took a note out of his pocket and placed it on the porch. He glanced one last time at the door and knocked. Afterwards he ran until he was no longer in sight. Joey opened the door and walked outside.

"Hello??" She asked looking around. She sighed and walked back into the cabin. Before she closed the door she looked down at the ground noticing the paper. She turned on the porch light and opened it up. It read: "Meet me at the boat house tonight. We have to talk." Joey just stared at the paper and smiled. There was hope. She thought.

Jen walked in to Abby and Buffy's cabin. Abby was rolling up her hair, while Buffy was listening to music on her earphones while reading a magazine. Abby turned away from the mirror and looked at the blonde surprised.

"Well, well, well, look who decided to grace us with her presence." Abby said snidely.

"You're welcome. Buffy could I borrow one of your dresses?"

"For what?"

"Umm, I'm going to see Jason."

"See? Do Would be a much better answer." Abby said smiling.

"Whatever. Can I borrow one of your dresses, Buffy?"

"Sure." Buffy replied getting up and walking over to a chair that all of her clothes were spread out over it.

"Having a garage sale?" Jen asked smiling and walking over to the chair.

"No, I'm packing. We leave tomorrow remember?" Buffy said picking up a beautiful knee length white dress.

"How could we forget." Abby said standing up and putting her hands on her hips. "Well, Jen--I hope you're happy."

"What now??"

"I wasted a good amount of my summer and money on you and you haven't even scored yet."

"I will tonight." Jen replied faking confidence.

"Yeah right."

"I will." Jen said taking the dress and walking out.

"I hope so. I want this thing over with, and my money back." Abby said closing the door.

Jen sighed and headed over to her cabin where Joey was just walking out.

"Where are you going?" Jen asked.

"Somewhere." Joey said in a I'm-not-in-the-mood- tone.

"To see Pacey huh?"

"Yeah." She replied walking off of the porch.

"See ya Joey." Jen said walking into the cabin.

"See ya." Joey said tucking her hair behind her ears and walking away.

Joey walked up to the docs that she and Pacey had been spending a lot of their previous time around. She walked over to a tied up boat and climbed in. She untied the knot, grabbed an oar, and rowed off.

Jen had gotten dressed and applied all of the needed make-up. She was stunning as she twirled around giving herself second glances in the mirror. Jack tapped at the already cracked door and let himself in.

"Wow." He said for lack of a better word.

"Hey Jack." She said turning around.

"You look beautiful."

"Thank you." She said blushing lightly.

"Going somewhere?" He questioned confused of her new get-up.

"Yes. Tonight's the night."

"For what?"

"You know."

"No I don't." He said chuckling.

"Me and Jason. He's at his cabin over the lake. This is my last chance."

"Oh...so you really are going through with this." He said sorrowfully.

"Yes I'm going through with this." She said looking at him confused. "I already talked to you about this."

"Yeah I know." He said avoiding her.

"Aww, is Little Jack Mcphee getting Jealous?" She asked pinching his cheeks. (the ones on his face  )

"Yes." He replied frankly.

Her smile faded again. Her fingers lingered on his face.

"What?" She asked looking at him mystified.

"Jen, don't. Don't do this."

"Do what?"

"Sleep with someone who means absolutely nothing to you."

"Jack, I'm sorry but I don't have time for this. I have to go." She finalized walking to the door.

"No." He said grabbing her arm.

"Jack I'm sorry." She said walking out.

Jack just stared as she walked away hurt taking over his expression.

Joey got out of the boat once it hit dry land in front of the boathouse. She walked into the boathouse slowly and closed the door behind her. Pacey had lit some candles and lined them up leading to a room door. Joey followed the candles in awe. She smiled wildly as she approached the door and opened it. Pacey was sitting on a bunch of blankets and pillows that he'd set up like a mock bed. Joey smiled at him and he smiled back.

Jen walked into the woods and crossed a bridge that led to Jason's cabin. She walked up to his cabin door and knocked lightly. She could hear light guitar music. The door opened and Jason stood there looking her up and down. He smiled and opened the screen door.

"Is there something you want?" He asked motioning for her to come in.

"Maybe." She said sensually as she walked in.

He closed the door and looked at her knowingly. A smile crossed his face as he followed her.

"And what is that?" He asked.

"Jason..." She began as she sat on his couch.

"Yes?" He asked sitting next to her.

"Hi."

"Hi." He replied chuckling.

Jen snuggled closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder.

"What are you doing?" He asked sweetly.

"Oh...nothing." She replied pulling her head up. They smiled at each other again as she rested her head closer to his neck.

"Why, Jen...are you trying to seduce me?"

"Whatever do you mean?" She asked inching closer to his face.

"Oh, boy." He said whispering.

Morning came and everyone was packed and ready to go. All of the kids and counselors were saying their goodbyes and waiting for their buses to come and pick them up. But all of the counselors weren't there.

Pacey, Jack, Jimmy, Adam, and Jason jr. were all hugging and saying there farewells to 4 of the boys from one of the cabins who's bus had pulled up. Once the boys had gotten on the bus, Pacey looked around to see if he could spot Joey, or any of the girls for that matter. They were nowhere to be found. Jack tapped him on the shoulder and looked at him strangely.

"Looking for someone?"

"Joey. For some strange reason all of the girls are missing." He said imitating Sherlock Homes. "Any idea of why that is Watson?"

"Haven't a clue Holmes."

"Very peculiar I'd say." Pacey said staying in accent.

"So did you and Joey patch things up last night?" Jack asked.

(clears throat) "Oh--uh yeah--yeah. It's all good." Pacey said looking in a different direction.

"Well that's good." Jack said looking at him strangely. "You ok man?"

"Huh? Oh yeah. Definitely." He said looking at the next bus pulling up.

(Enya's 'May It Be' plays in the background.)

Jen sat on a swing in a sort of daze. Joey walked over and sat next to her on the second swing seat.

"Hey." Joey said as the wind blew her hair all over the place.

"Hey." Jen said sadly.

"Are you ok?" Joey asked staring at the depressed figure.

"Ye--Nope. Not really." She said kicking the dirt below her.

"So..."

"So?"

"You and Jason--did you guys?" Joey asked expectantly.

Before Jen could answer, Abby, Buffy, Lena, and Andie walked over to the two. Abby was the first to ask.

"So...who's the money going to?" Abby asked looking at Jen pointedly.

"Yeah." Lena joined.

"Who won?" Andie asked.

Jen looked at Joey who's head was down, and looked back at the girls and smiled. Abby's face lit up.

"So how does it feel to not be a loser?" Abby asked giddily.

Jen stopped smiling and looked at her dead in the eyes.

"I wouldn't know." She said her expression growing grim. "Sorry." She said raising her eyebrows.

Buffy and Abby rolled their eyes.

"So that mean Joey won right???" Lena asked happily. "Right, Joey?"

Joey looked at her and half smiled. But the smile faded. Lena looked at her disappointed but understanding. Andie sighed with relief.

"It's ok Joey." Andie said reassuringly.

"Well, this was a waste." Buffy said walking away.

"Jen!" Abby whined. "You know what? You never fail to disappoint me." Abby said folding her arms.

"It's what I live for." Jen said smiling.

Abby looked at her disgusted and walked away. Andie looked at them both and smiled.

"It's your body." Andie said still amused by Abby's antics. "Come on Lena, we have to tell that little Christy girl that no one won and give her her money back." Andie said walking away.

"Bye guys." Lena said following.

Jen looked at Joey and smiled. Joey's expression was quite unreadable. Jen arched her eyebrows and looked at her pointedly.

"What?" Jen asked. "What's wrong?"

"I did."

"Did...what??"

"With Pacey." Joey said looking at her. "Last night." She said quietly.

"Oh--"

"Oh??"

"Oh--I don't know what to say or what to ask." Jen said laughing.

"If you ask me how it was I'll kill you and make it look like an accident." Joey replied quickly.

"Ok."

(pause)

"So how was it??" She asked excitedly.

"It was...nice." Joey replied bashfully.

"Oh my gosh." Jen said shocked. "Why didn't you say--?"

"Because...it's none of their business. It's my mine and Pacey's."

Jen nodded comprehending .

"Swear you won't tell?"

"I'll take it to the grave." Jen replied holding her hand out.

"Thanks." Joey said taking it and standing up. "Lets go." She said kindly.

"Let's."

Most of the children had left and the counselors were still standing around chatting it up. Pacey looked over Jack's shoulder and discovered Joey walking up with Jen.

"Hey." He said nervously. "I haven't seen you all morning."

"I was um...just clearing some things up with the girls before we leave." She said wrapping her arms around his waist. "I lost." She said whispering in his ear. He looked at her hesitantly and smiled.

"Well that was very sweet of you Josephine." He said kissing her.

"Don't call be Josephine!" She said slightly elbowing him in the stomach.

"As you wish." He said kissing her again.

"So did I." Jen said acknowledging Joey's other statement. "Is that what you call whispering Josephine." Jen mocked.

"Shut up." Joey said shoving her playfully.

"You did?" Jack asked.

"I did." She said walking up to him and kissing him. Pacey's mouth dropped as did Joey's.

"What was that for?" Jack asked staggered.

"For being there for me this summer, and being that little angel on my right shoulder."

"That's all?"

"That's all." She said looking at him knowingly. "I'll explain the rest when we get home" She said picking up her duffle bag. Pacey and Jack exchanged looks. Pacey grinned at him wickedly. Jack just shook his head and picked up her other bag.

"I'll get this to the bus." He said walking away.

"Yeah you do that." Pacey said laughing.

Jen looked at Pacey and Joey and smiled. "Mind your own ok?" She said walking away.

"Ok." They said in unison.

"Looks like it's time for us to go." Pacey said looking at Joey.

"I guess so." She said sadly looking at their bus. "Let's go." She said grabbing his hand leading him to the bus.

Jen walked up to the bus and looked over at Jason who was helping everyone on the bus.

"Hi." She said warily.

"Hi. About last night..."

"No it's ok. I can take rejection." She said getting on the bus.

"Wait, Jen--"

"Yeah?"

"If you were five years older..."

"Uh huh?" She asks a smile coming across her face.

"It would be on." He said beaming.

"I know." She said smirking and continuing on the bus.

Everyone had gotten situated on the bus as it took off. The bus driver jump started "the wheels on the bus" song and everyone joined in.

Jack and Andie were sitting together. Andie had fallen asleep on Jacks shoulder. Jen and Joey decided to sit together, while Pacey sat next to Abby annoying the hell out of her.

"So why are you here Abby?" He asked.

"Mommy dearest recommended that I spend some time away from the house. She was going to send me to some boring camp for out of line teens. So I saw the wanted ad for this camp and decided that my time would be better spent here." She said simply.

"Interesting." Pacey said looking at her as if interested.

"So, Joey?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you think you and I can be friends now?"

"You mean like you and Jack?" Joey joked.

"I would laugh but I'm too busy withholding a secret." Jen said eyeing her.

"Is that so?"

"Hmm hmm."

"Ok.." Joey began taking something out of her duffle bag.

"What are you doing?"

"This." She said hitting her with a slipper.

"Ouch!" Jen said laughing ignoring everyone's stares.

"Friends." Joey finalized giggling.

"Cool." Jen replied smiling.

"I think I'm gonna cry." Chris Wolfe said looking at them smirking.

Joey ignored him and looked back at Pacey who was looking at her dreamily. Joey grinned and started looking out the window. Jen looked back at Jack who was in the seat behind them and smiled. He was also asleep. She turned back around and started humming the wheels on the bus song. Joey looked at her oddly, then returned her glare out the window. Jen continued singing as the bus continued down it's path.

The gang was about to return to the place that they were vying to get away from at the beginning of the summer. Now it was none other than the place that they customarily called home. For the summer at least Joey's worries had drifted away, while Jen's stayed with her. The first thing she planned to do when she got home would be to of course hug grams and show her how much she appreciates her letting her stay. Joey planned on continuing her relationship with Pacey and helping Bessie as much as she can. Now a young woman she felt like she definitely had a lot of growing up to do. Possibly...without Dawson.
