*disclaimer* I in no way shape or form own Harry Potter. The following does
not earn me any money and is simply the wanderings of my demented mind.
*crappery* Heeeelloo! Another chapter out in TWO days! You all should be so proud of me. This chapter actually is relatively important to the plot, I'm surprised. That last couple ones have just been incoherent drabble...Anyway! We haven't made it to seventy reviews yet, but we'll do it soon! If you read it, please review it! Oh yeah, you get introduced to Nebel and Nall this chapter! My constant conversations with myself personified...*giggles* Enjoy!
Alcapacien: Thank you!! I know, isn't he just creepy?
AmericanDemon: *cackles demonically* I am so glad I could gross you out with Snape Snogging (S.S.) Weeell...There's no Draggie ('scuse that, habit) in this chapter, but in the next one there will be! I do that, but it never shows up on ff...ya know how to get it to show up?
SuperHiperChit: You are officially very, very stupid now Erin. Yucky huh?
Maura Moyniham: I'm sorry you feel that way. Sometimes its essential that you read past the first chapter for some things to make sense.
littoxkigga: I like your stories and look forward to some of them being updated...She didn't get it back. *grins evilly* A lovely little twist to gross you, and everyone else, out.
Pillz-E: Yeah, too many stories with Mynee being the damsel in distress and Draco coming and solving all the problems. Bleeggh...Mynee saves herself in my stories.
Crazedgurl1291: Thanks. Well, I believe in the next chapter or so it'll be Harry/Ron POV and it'll explain why they hate her. As for Ginny, I just don't like her...So she gets to be killed off! *cackles*
Britton: Gross huh? But again, it is sadly essential to the plot that I show that everyone is either after her or against her. *grins* Important to her impending nervy spaz/killing rampage!!
Thank you all for the reviews, I love you all so much!

Wanderings of a Troubled Mind, Chapter Ten
.
Something obscenely bright attacked her eyes, vivid beams of Sunday morning light pricking her lids. A faint moan of pain
escaped her and she grabbed one of the pillows near her head and pressed it against her eyes. That hardly abated the onslaught
of luminosity that mauled her senses. Mynee reached for her wand on her bedside, her hand grappling empty space. Confusion
flooded her and she shoved the pillow off her head, ignoring the burning light for a moment. Her wand was not on the little table,
nor was it on the floor. She looked around her room blearily for a moment, her still half asleep brain trying to comprehend the
situation. She reached her other hand out to try and touch the comforting presence of Evi, but even his warm bulk was gone. Ice
flooded her veins, freezing the sluggish blood within her. The icy fear seized her dead heart, forcing to agonizingly beat several
times. The combined pain and dread made her take a breath, a cry erupting from her lips. She was alone, all alone again. Evi had
been with her for only a few days, but she had already started to depend on his presence to keep her partly sane and to force the
blood lust back. The conscious part of her mind took over, soothing her distress, hiding its own alarm. The two voices within her
mind, her conscious and sub-conscious, started conversing furiously with each other.
'What happened?' Her slightly hysterical sub-conscious, better known as Nall, squeaked.
'System overload, we must reboot the system!" Her conscious, Nebel, retorted.
'Reboot?!?! How can we reboot? You've read too many computer manuals!" Nall screeched.
'I will calm the Body down. She is still mostly asleep..." Nebel murmured.
Mynee, who had heard this conversation and was extremely confused, felt a peculiar calm come over her as she wrenched herself
out of the soft folds of sleep. Memories flooded her and she remembered Evi leaving her room last night to return to the forest for
a little bit. Nall started to calm down and returned to its quiet state, its high pitched voice slacking off for the time being. That
memory took care of the absence of warmth, but what of her wand? What had happened last night that took her wand from her?
She closed her eyes and sifted through her recollections with the aid of Nebel, telling her which ones to ignore and which ones
to tab. She finally came upon one of a particularly large nose crushed against her cheek and the unpleasant feeling of extremely
thin lips and a dry, whip like tongue in her mouth. A shudder ran through her at the thought and she remembered her detention.
'Well...That explains more then it doesn't.' She thought darkly.
'You know, you'll need to go back and get your wand.' Nebel said.
'Shut up. I don't want to think about going back there.'
'But you'll have to before classes start tomorrow.'
'I know! Don't you think I know that? You are just a stupid voice in my mind!'
'Stupid am I? Aren't you just insulting yourself?'
Mynee let out a hiss and ignored anything else Nebel, one of the two particularly obstinate and loud voices in her head who
tried to give her advice, said to her. She slowly swung her legs out of her bed and lowered her feet onto the frigid stone floor. A
shiver ran through her body and she pushed herself out of the warm cocoon of blankets that she called her bed. She stood
shakily for a moment and then padded softly in the direction of the bathroom. She once again felt dirty from the memory of being
snogged by a teacher, Snape at that.
Mynee sat at the Gryffindor table, moodily poking her bloody steak with her fork. Before she was Changed, she could never
stomach meat in the morning. But now, now a bloody hunk of animal flesh soon after she woke up was actually relatively
pleasing. She glared at the meat for a moment and jumped slightly when somebody plopped themselves right down beside her.
She raised her eyes from her breakfast and was surprised to see Harry sitting beside her, acting like nothing had gone sour in
their relationship. Ron sat down on the empty bench beside her, smiling blithely at her. She watched them both, unease eating
away at her insides. She did not trust those two as far as she could throw them with her pinky, ignoring the fact that she could
through them far with the single digit due to her considerable strength. The boys started eating casually and that was it.
"What the hell are you to doing?"
"Eating, what does it look like?" Harry said carelessly.
"Yeah, eating." Ron muttered.
"I can see that. But why are you eating here?"
"We can't eat with our best friend anymore?"
"What?"
"We're eating with you, our best friend."
Mynee silenced at that and for a moment dwelled on the words. That profound loneliness that had been eating away at her since
the end of the previous term was begging for her to trust them again and get back their friendship. But the much more practical
side, good old Nebel, was louder.
'What do you think you're doing? Are you actually going to believe them?'
'N-No...But what if he's telling the truth?'
'Come off it Hermione, do you really think Potter and Weasley are telling the truth? They probably just need help with some
homework or other. They wouldn't be talking to you, or be within ten yards of you if they didn't need you for something.'
Nebel's words stung her, but she knew they were true. Harry and Ron would not come near her unless they had to. She set her
fork and knife down on the table and got to her feet.
"I stopped being your 'best friend' the moment I killed Voldemort."
Harry's face bubbled with dark emotions and the insanity within him glowed within his emerald eyes. "You did not kill him,
Granger! I did! I am the Boy Who Lived! You're nothing but a no good wannabe!"
"A no good wannabe who solved every riddle, problem, and crisis that came her way. Whatever Potter, you just keep on living in
your little delusional world."
Mynee swung her legs over the side of the bench and started walking out of the Great Hall. She heard someone scrabbling
behind her, then the sound of Weasley trying to calm them down. She snorted quietly and pushed the massive doors open. Potter
was reacting the way he did every time she made the fact that she killed Voldemort known. She shook her head slowly and
leaned against a stone wall near the doors. She could either go out to the forest, find Evi, and feed, go down to Hogsmeade and
feed, or go down to the dungeons and wrestle her wand away from the sadistic Potions teacher. Out of her three options, the
second one sounded the best. But sadly, she knew which one she had to do. Mynee brushed some of her auburn hair out of her
eyes and headed down to the dungeons.
For the second time in two days, Mynee found herself outside of Snape's classroom, her hand raised to knock. The feeling
welling up inside her like a river erupting from a broken dam could hardly be considered fear. It was not fear of Snape himself,
but of what might come to pass once she entered his domain. She swallowed thickly, trying to ignore the feeling of her tongue
taking over her mouth like a fat banana slug. Her knuckles rapped against the wood and a commanding voice bade her enter.
She opened the door and slipped in, frigid air stealing the thin cloak of warmth she had drawn about herself before entering. She
unconsciously took a deep breath and faced the Potions teacher. Snape was looking at her much like someone would look at
something extremely unpleasant on the bottom of their expensive shoe. She opened her mouth to speak, but shut it quickly when
she saw what he was idly twirling in his long fingers. Her wand was dancing gracefully around those digits; the semblance of the
simple gesture was that he owned her personage and her magic which belonged to nobody but herself and the Mother. A smirk
played on his thin lips as he offered her wand nonchalantly to her. She nervously reached for it and let out a squeak when his
other hand whipped around and grabbed her wrist.
"Now Ms. Granger, we can't have you going around the school telling everybody about our little rendezvous last night, can we?"
His voice caressed her flesh like fine silk, willing her to let go and bow down to his will.
Mynee shook her head slowly, Nebel fighting furiously to the sweet fog that was descending down over itself and the rest of her
brain. Snape's smirk widened as one of his sallow fingers trailed down the side of her cheek, gently stroking the tender flesh of
her neck.
"Good, good...Now what should we do to make sure you don't go telling anyone?"
As if in slow motion, she saw his head lean in towards hers, his lips getting closer and closer until...A soft cry erupted from her
mouth when he brushed his lips against the skin right below her jaw line. Nebel screamed loudly, beating against the walls of the
prison Snape had put into her mind. He kissed a line of fire down her neck up to the extremely sensitive spot behind her ear then
to her lips. All throughout this time, both parts of her mind were fighting furiously against the newly erected wall of magic, caging
her common sense and knowledge of right and wrong cornered and caged like a wild animal. The moment their lips touched and
his tongue was forced into her mouth, through the combined efforts of Nebel and Nall, the spell in her mind drifted apart like a
spider's silk web caught on a breeze. Mynee cried out as she came to her senses and shoved him away, taking full advantage of
her Vampyre strength. Snape hit his desk and the papers she had cleared the night before scattered like a snowstorm. She
grabbed her wand off the floor where he had dropped it and pointed it at him. The stick of wood trembled slightly in her hand,
but her eyes never strayed from her target.
"That is not the behaviour a teacher should be showing towards his student, even if she was willing, which this one is definitely
not. I don't know what you did to me, nor do I care. But if you approach me in any manner not befitting a sour, bad tempered
Potions teacher, I swear on the graves of my family, I will go to Dumbledore." Her eyes glowed fiercely with an inner untamed
flame as a sudden thought came to her. He had tried to force himself upon her, a Vampyre, and he deserved to be punished. For
a brief moment she perused the massive bookshelves of knowledge stored within her mind until she came upon something she
liked. Her brows snapped together and she raised her wand a little more so it pointed at his shoulder.
"What are you going to do Ms. Granger? I could have you expelled for hexing a teacher..."
"Just like I could get you sacked by telling Dumbledore that you forced yourself upon me?"
"Ah, the tattle tale that resides within ever Gryffindor..."
Mynee snorted. "Isn't that a Slytherin quality? Won't you do anything achieve your ends?"
Snape's mouth closed and he began to scowl at her. "Bloody Know-it-All..."
"Thank you that has long ago ceased to be an insult." She smirked. "You forced yourself upon a Vampyre, so you will be marked
now so you may be punished later."
Mynee concentrated hard on his shoulder, imagining a pallid shoulder blade with several silvery scars. Her wand moved in a
figure eight pattern as she spoke softly. "Kolind sina aith naust ar' mot ten' dos raika ie' da Vampyre's cam." A tendril of mist the
color of old blood dribbled from her wand tip and quickly surrounded Snape's right shoulder. His eye's widened in pain, his
fists clenching into tight fists. The fog cleared quickly and she looked at him with a sneer raising the corner of her mouth. "Never
cross a Vampyre Snape, it never ends well. Beware, before this year is through you will feel the wrath of my people for what you
did." She turned and left the classroom, adrenaline pumping through her veins as the door slammed behind her. Once the door
was shut, Snape went to his own personal chambers and ripped his shirt off to see what she had done to him. He looked at the
tattoo emblazoned upon his pallid shoulder blade, dancing gracefully around the mass of scars, and let out a hoarse yell. He
would truly pay now...
Mynee left the castle after her encounter with Snape, heading towards the outskirts of the Forest. She missed the
wonderfully comforting presence of her familiar and she was starting to feel rather peckish. Hagrid was watering a patch of
massive pumpkins and when he saw her walking nonchalantly towards him he dropped the watering can. She smiled slightly to
him, accidentally flashing the tips of her fangs at him. His beetle black eyes widened and he fled to the safety of his cottage
thing. She shook her head slowly at his hasty flight and ran a hand through her already slightly untidy rich reddish brown hair.
She quickened her pace until she slipped into the comforting darkness that sucked up all the light in the Forbidden Forest.
Mynee had been padding quietly into the Forest when a large body came crashing through the underbrush and bowled her over.
A soft squeak came from her when she hit the ground, but it turned into a soft giggle as Evi started licking her face furiously.
'You came to visit me! I was going to come back tonight!'
"I know you were Evi, but I was lonely and not to mention rather hungry."
'We can solve both of those easily Mistress!'
"Precisely why I came to you my dear."
He let her sit up, then sprawled obediently across her lap. As she lowered her head to pierce his neck, her hair fell away from her
own neck, revealing a line of vivid red marks along the pale flesh. After Mynee had fed she pulled up and was surprised when
Evi brushed his wet nose against the mildly stinging flesh along her neck.
"What are you doing?"
'You have red marks...They look like burns on your neck.'
"Pardon? That's impossible...I haven't burnt my neck. Only one person has touched my neck in the past twenty four hours...Oh
shit..."
'What is it Mynee?'
"My Potions teacher kissed me last night and again today when I went to get my wand back from him. He was kissing my
neck...Think he made those marks?"
The thupalp looked up at her then nuzzled her tenderly, his bat wings stretching. 'Yes, I think he did. Not sure how though...Want
me to rip his throat out?'
"Thank you for the offer, but it'll fade soon...Who the hell are you?" Her eyes were on a shadowy figure crouched behind a bush.
Slowly, the small shape came into view; a soft glow coming from the wood faerie's body. The light blue wings ruffled nervously
as she looked at the Vampyre and thupalp.
"I have a message for you Vampyre..." The faerie's voice quivered with fear as she remembered when she was almost killed by
the creature before her.
Mynee looked at her, the slight figure arousing some distant memory. She shook her head slowly and shoved Evi off her lap.
"Okay, what is it?"
"You must follow me."
"Where are you going to take me?"
"I cannot tell you that Vampyre, but it is very important that you come..."
"Whatever, Evi is coming too."
The faerie shrugged her small shoulders and started walking off. Mynee hopped to her feet and followed, Evi at her side.
The faerie led them to a small clearing and then promptly flew away. A tall form emerged from the shadows and looked at
Mynee for a moment. There was something extremely familiar about the shape and she took an unconscious step back. The hood
was pushed of the form's head and a masculine face was revealed. Then it clicked, this was the Vampyre who had killed her
family and Changed her. A breath caught in her through, her lungs burning for a moment.
"You recognize me Alora...I wish to apologize for disappearing so quickly, but I had to report."
"Report?" Her voice cracked slightly and she rested a hand on Evi's back, holding a handful of his fur tightly.
"To my Lord, he requires your...services in aid of our race."
"My services? I'm not a whore."
The male looked at her in confusion for a moment. "Whore? Oh, courtesan...No, no, I did not say you were. Please do not jump to
conclusions, it won't help you. My Lord says to give you this. I will come back for you at the mortal's holiday of Christmas.
Farewell for now, Alora." He smirked to her and dropped a thick letter onto the mossy forest floor. He waited until she picked it
up before simply disappearing. Mynee shook slightly as she held the wad of parchment close to her chest. She looked down at
Evi for a moment then crumpled to her knees.
"This is to much..." She whispered quietly and pressed her face into his fur.
Her familiar let out a quiet sigh and pushed her with his nose until she got up. He slowly led her to the outskirts of the Forest and
then motion with his muzzle to go up to the castle.
'I will come up when night falls Mistress.'
She nodded weakly and stumbled up to the great stone building.
Mynee curled up in one of the massive armchairs before the roaring fire in the Prefects' common room. Settled in her lap
was the letter. She opened it slowly and began to read the elegant emerald letters.
.
Alora Granger;
There is much I need to tell you, but little I can put down in a letter. I am Nikolas Von Drakula, Lord of Vampyres. Before you
can understand the task I beg of you to do, you must learn first about the history of our people. In the beginning of time, a single
Vampyre and Vampire were created. They Changed several mortals until each had something that resembled a small kingdom worth
of their kind. Both species lived in harmony until Hermione Von Drakula, my wife, and Alexis ta Dracula, Alexander ta Dracula, who
is Lord of Vampires, wife, had a furious altercation. No one can remember what it was about, but it turned our two kinds against
one another. Ever since then Vampyres and Vampires have been fighting. Two hundred years ago, Jonathon ta Dracula killed my
wife. I should tell you, that our kind is ruled by females. Women are believed to be more powerful because you are more connected
with the Earth. Once Hermione was killed, our kind fell into ruin because in the eyes of the law I am nothing but a consort. Our kind
has been killed off to the point of extinction. There are scant hundred of us left. I can say no more in this letter. Jacobith who gave
you this letter will come and collect you at the mortal's celebration of Christmas. I can tell you more then. I beg of you, please go
with him. The fate of our people rests in your hands.
.
Nikolas Von Drakula
Lord of Vampyres
.
P.S. Please bring your familiar, if you have one.
.
Mynee looked at the letter in her hands, her eyes glowing with the intake of knowledge. A slight smile curled the tips of her lips
as she folded the letter up and slipped it into her robes.

She opened it slowly and began to read the elegant emerald letters.
.
Alora Granger;
