.

crappery: It has been a buggery long time since I last updated. The end is in sight! Well, by about ten or fifteen chapters, but that's beyond the point!! The plot is fully in motion!! does a happy dance Also, if any of you know how to get italics/bold/underline to work, please tell me? It's really bugging me.

.

LosOgosDeLaVida: Okay, to save the Vampyre race, Hermione must die and bring Hermione (Nikolas's wife) back with her. She might later on...I can't tell you at this particular moment.

usagigreenleaf657: Yeah...I can permanently kill off either of them. They are the main characters after all and there is a sequel.

zenni: For them to live 'happily ever after' he would have to be changed. But I don't believe in happily ever after...It never happens in the real world.

Mojo the Rock Chick Munchkin: Yep.

SweetCheeksDracoLuver: Blegh, thanks though.

B: Weee! Hope you like it! I sure as hell did, though they needed to follow the book a wee bit more. What the hell was up with the firebolt being planted at the end??

dreamingmaggie: Thanks!

Shadowed Rains: Vampyrism is a curse, no matter what the story books say. That still doesn't mean I don't want it.

littoxkigga: She probably will...You got it right, that's how you pronounce it. By the way, what does your name mean? It sounds and looks really cool.

jtangel: That's true, but think about living two hundreds years without the other half of your soul? That would SUCK, not to mention have to watch your race die out by another weaker then your own. She might be...

gottalovedrakie: You get him back in this one.

Tigoamy: She tells him next one...Even though he finds out this one.

Amanda: He would be really hot if he was turned, but it would have no importance to the story...Of course unless he followed her around trying to snog her all the time. I personally wouldn't object!

Gwenivive: Hehehe...

KnAvEy: Don't we all know I have a dirty mind? Look how I act in school...I corrupted all of our friends, including you. I'm SPECIAL!

FunnyCatGirl: Thanks.

AmericanDemon: Draco can't die Sweety, he's one of the main characters. If he died, the story would technically have to end.

YamiClara: Glad you liked it.

Chrissy: Thank you.

Samurai Amaya: I agree, Fudge is a completely and absolute idgit.

Raven55: It's okay! You do karate? That is SO cool!!

The Cedar Girl: Thanks!!

Crazy4DillynDraco: Will do.

Amanda Hughes: Next chapter...

cherri-lime91: I know, that wasn't the best chapter...Actually, I'm fourteen now...Just had me birthday little less then a month ago. Hehehee...Thanks.

Horsekrazy08: dances Lookit is an AWESOME word! Go we the Lookit People!

Stephanie: Thank you!

Honey Mocha Citrus: Er...Didn't really have that in mind, but if you want to see it that way, go right ahead AJ!! Um, are you working on me story? Because you know what I'll do with that stick I have...

lady-sanctuary: Yeah, it's Draco/Hermione pairing...Thanks!

Dyth: TV is fun, especially South Park. Umm...I dunno, most snorts are cynical or sarcastic in some way or another...At least mine are.

Christmas Rendezvous Part III, Chapter Twenty Nine

.

.

All Mynee had to do for the rest of the week before Christmas was bother any Vampyre she came across. Several times she had had to

defend herself against someone trying to drag her back to the Feeding Cell, but after she had broken the collar bone of several of her attackers,

the word had gotten around that she was actually one of them. Evi had remained in her room for the majority of the seven days, finding that he

did not care much for the extravagant amounts of attention piled upon him whenever he ventured out of her quarters. She had fed once again and

had not really enjoyed the experience. All the captive mortals had cowered away from her until Rachel stood up and started screaming obscenities

at her. She had merely looked at the girl, scowl and rapidly feed so she could get away. She had not even been a Vampyre for a year yet and

being hated with such a fierce passion by a mortal made her feel horribly low. She went to bed late on Christmas Eve after an explosive fight with

a green eyed man who seemed to think she was a mortal in disguise, despite the face that her aura reeked of her true, 'Pyre nature. She snorted

darkly just as she drifted off to sleep.

A beam of horridly bright sun light molested her eyes and Mynee let out a low growl of discomfort.

"Damn sun!" She snarled and tried to bury her face farther into her pillow.

It was not until the part of her mind that had woken first realized what the day was before she suddenly sat up, wide awake. A slight grin crossed

her lips and she tumbled out of her bed, rushing towards her trunk. She threw the lid open and took out two gifts, one from Furion and the other

Draco had slipped her right before she left. She smiled happily at the purely gold wrapping paper on her best friend's present and quickly ripped it

off, eager to see within. She opened the lid to the box and let out a giggle. Inside was a muggle snow globe, the glass catching the early morning

light. She lifted it out and nearly dropped it when she saw what was within the clear bubble. A woman with long brown hair, caught on an

imaginary breeze, stood with her feet planted firmly on the ground with a determined look on her face. In her arms was a young child, perhaps a

year or so old, watching something with chilly grayish eyes. Mynee's brow furrowed as she set it on the bedside table, trying to push the feeling of

familiarity away. She felt as if she recognized the lady in the glass and had some strange connection with her. She ran a hand through her tousled,

slightly bushy hair and gingerly picked up Draco's gift. She was a little bit apprehensive about what he would could have found to give her, almost

afraid that it was something to cut off their relationship. She still had not fully trusted him enough to tell him about her true nature, but she felt

that the time to reveal all to him was coming close. She took a deep breath and pushed the black ribbon off the equally dark box. Just before she

flicked the top open, she noticed how very much it looked like an expensive jewelry box. She sifted the thought to the side and her eyes widened

when she saw what was inside. Nestled neatly in the bottom part of the container was a platinum ring inset with a glittering fire opal. A blinding

smile crossed her lips as she took it out and set it on the ring finger on her left hand. She then noticed a little slip of parchment had been resting

beneath the band. She took it out and quickly read it.

.

Hermione;

I promise I will replace this with another in the future. Happy Christmas love.

Draco

XOXO

.

Her eyes widened considerably when she realized what his gift was, a promise ring, marking her as his until the point when he asked for her hand.

She gingerly touched the opal with the tip of one of her fingers. In the back of her mind she did not really like the fact that he had stated his

possession of her, but the majority of her being was thrilled to have someone to belong to. Mynee rolled off of her bed and landed on her rump,

mentally calling for her familiar. Moments later his hulking shape burst into her room and flopped in front of her feet, his tongue lolling out of his

mouth.

'Hello!!'

"Hey pet, happy Christmas."

'Happy Christmas Mistress!'

She smiled faintly. "Where were you?"

'Talking with Nikolas, he doesn't sleep.'

"Really know? What were you two talking about?"

'He said that a familiar has to be completely devoted to their master, mistress in your case. And that they will do no matter what to keep them

safe. I don't really understand why he said that, do you Mistress?'

Her brow furrowed. "I don't know either luv, maybe he knows something we don't. He was probably just being careful. You really don't have to do

anything and everything to keep me safe, I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself."

'But what if I want to protect you?'

"I'll have no objection, but you don't have to give your life to save mine though. I wouldn't be able to live with it."

'I won't die then Mistress, if only to keep you from going into denial.'

"That's a large word, where'd you learn it?"

'Nikolas used it.'

"Ah, that would explain a lot."

She smiled faintly and extended her hand, the stone upon her finger catching the sun light. "Look what Draco gave me baby. Isn't it pretty?"

'It's shiny and sparkly.'

"Yes, gems tend to do that. I'm quite glad he didn't choose an emerald...It would be tragically Slytherin of him."

'I thought you liked Slytherin.'

"I like Draco, but few of the other Slytherins."

Evi was silent for a moment. 'Can we go outside and play?'

"I don't know about outside pet, but certainly on one of the terraces. Come on luv, let's go." She got to her feet and walked over to her armoire.

She rapidly changed into a form fitting dress that ended a few inches above her knees. Though it was winter in Scotland, where she guessed she

was, it was surprisingly warm in the castle. It was also pleasant outside, the few times she had ventured out. She dragged a brush through her

unruly hair and then curled one of her hands in his curly fur.

"All right luv, let's go."

The duo left the room, the faint scent of her perfume lingering in the room.

Mynee sat on her knees on the cool stone of the large balcony, watching her familiar caper about with a tender eye. She smiled faintly and

took the large stick from him, chucking it far away from her. He charged off to retrieve it for her, nothing on his mind except the joy of playing with

his Mistress. She sighed quietly and looked at her skin, suddenly aching to see Draco. A feeling of uneasiness settling over her shoulders causing

her to shiver instinctively. She looked around quickly and suddenly let out a cry. Someone had just materialized about twenty feet from her, Evi

caught on to her distress and bounded over to her, baring his teeth menacingly.

'Who is it?'

"I don't know! But he's not one of us and that's for sure. So that means he has to be a..."

Her words were cut off by the person running over and lunging at her. She rolled to her right, dodging the flashing blades he wielded.

"What the fuck?" She hollered, jumping to her feet.

He got up instantly from his position on the floor and they began circling each other, her eyes never leaving him. He did not answer her and simply

dashed forward, slicing at her throat and belly. She jumped backwards; the very tip of one of the knives caught her dress, cutting the fabric and

her flesh. A very faint cry slipped from her lips as her nails suddenly grew several inches and her fangs sprouted. She slashed at him with her

claws, her red eyes gleaming with inner fire. They caught him across the cheek and shoulder, causing in to let out a roar. She danced backwards in

her attempt to get away from the knives, her muscles screaming as her body bent into an unnatural position.

'Evi,' her mind screamed, 'get help! It's an assassin!'

Evi nodded and bit the Vampire's calf, before running off of the terrace. He howled and threw one of his daggers at her, it cleanly slicing her

shoulder before burrowing into the stone wall behind her. She hissed as rivulets of watery black blood poured from her wound, rapidly drenching the

fabric of her dress. She glared furiously at him, pressing one of her hands against the cut to staunch the flow. In the split second she looked at

her shoulder he lunged forward and hit her hard in the gut, causing her to collapse. Mynee dropped to her hands and knees, pain zinging through

her. The man stood above her and snickered softly, seeming to think the fight was over.

"Who ever said killing a Vampyre is hard was obviously wrong. Good bye 'Pyre."

She took a deep breath and rapidly kicked out, jamming one of the pointy heels of her boots into the tender flesh around his knee cap. For a

moment there was silence before he let out a sharp cry of pain and dropped to the ground. He tried to slash at her with his blade, his attempt

falling short. She looked at him with smoldering eyes and lashed out with her hand, the side of it catching his throat, effectively shattering his wind

pipe. Just before she pulled away, she flicked one of her overly sharp nails across his throat, successfully slicing his neck nearly in two. She took in

another great gasping breath and let her arms give out. She simply lay there on the cool stone, her dead adversary's blood soaking her along with

her own. She did not know how long it took for Evi to get help, but when somebody gently shook her and she came out of the slight fog that her

body had put her into while healing itself up, she met eyes with Nikolas.

"I am leaving and going back to Hogwarts right bloody now!" She hollered weakly.

Her sovereign nodded slowly and helped her up to her feet, the rest of the diminutive guard rolling the corpse off the terrace. She hobbled inside

with his aid, her beloved familiar trotting obediently behind her.

No more then two days later, Mynee had returned home and was unpacking her trunk. She took her diary out of it and set it on her bed.

She opened it to the first page, the one where she could converse with Katima, which just so happened to be next to the piece of parchment in

which she had started keeping tally of what came to pass in her life. She was just about to flop down onto her ever so familiar comforter when she

saw the overdue library book she had accidentally taken with her to Vampyre Castle. She heaved a massive sigh and picked it up, tucking the dark

green covered tome beneath her arm. She walked quietly out of her room, fully intending on making an entry after she had returned the book and

had some dinner.

Draco crept into his girlfriend's room, hoping to catch her before she went down to dinner. It was dismally empty with the exception of her

overly large trunk and an opened book on her bed. He walked over to it and picked it up, a slight shock running through him when his fingers

touched the slightly luminescent cover. He shook his head slowly and let his eyes drop to the first page. The first thing he saw there was unlike

anything he would have expected in anyone's diary.

My name is Hermione Granger and I am a Vampyre.

Suddenly so many things clicked into place and he could not believe he did not guess this before. All of the strange events and conversations he

had overheard made perfect sense and the times when she had popped off in the middle of the night were crystal clear. She was the one who had

been murdering all of the people in Hogsmeade. He knew she had killed Ginny Weasley, but the cut on her throat, he understood it now. He

dropped the book on the bed like it burnt him and ripped a piece of parchment out from the back of it. He quickly scribbled a message onto it, and

then returned to his room. He had to think over some things.

Mynee came back from dinner with a light heart. She hummed her favourite muggle song under her breath as she entered her room. Her

heart plunged when she saw the open book on her bed and the piece of parchment beside it. How could she have been so stupid, leaving her diary

out in plain few when there were some very incriminating things in there? She ran over to it and grabbed the paper, a slight sob coming from her

mouth.

.

Hermione we need to talk. Meet me in the Astronomy Tower at midnight tonight. It's of utmost importance.

Draco

.

He knew and she was screwed. Just when she had decided to come clean with him and tell him everything, he had gone and snooped her room. He

had found out in the least desirable way. She dropped to her knees beside her bed, the short note falling out of her palms. Her head collapsed into

her open hands as her body shook in terror of the rendezvous to come.
