CHAPTER TWO
Koenma is sitting at his desk, looking over some files when Botan walks in with the rest of the Rei Kai.
"I'm sorry, Koenma. But, I couldn't find Yusuke anywhere." Botan told him.
"That's okay, Botan. Yusuke's already here." Koenma replied.
"Oh."
"We're here, so what's this urgent case that you need us for?" Hiei asked.
Koenma looked at Hiei, sighed, and jumped down out of his seat. He walked around his desk and looked at them.
"Follow me."
He told them He began walking down the hallway and to the elevator to the top floor of the building. They were greeted by Yusuke when they got off the elevator.
"Hi guys! Good to see you." Yusuke said with a smile.
"A playground?" Kuwabara said.
"Yes, I had it built to pass the time when I got bored or when I just needed somewhere to think without being disturbed." Koenma told them.
"This is also where you clients are." He added.
"Our clients?" Kurama asked.
"That's right. Dante? Come here." Koenma called out.
"I'm right here, Koenma-sama. No need to shout." A voice said as a small child stepped out from behind Yusuke's legs.
A collective gasp was heard when Botan, Kuwabara, Hiei, and Kurama saw what the child looked like. Especially Hiei. It was looking at a mirror to his childhood.
"Minna, this is Dante. Dante, this is Botan, Kurama, Kuwabara, and Hiei. They're the ones Yusuke and I told you about." Koenma told the little boy.
"Pleased to meet you." Dante said with slight bow.
"What the hell?! Why does this kid look like me?!" Hiei demanded.
Dante looked at Hiei and indeed, he did look like him, only all grown up. He was about to asked Yusuke the same thing when he heard a familiar voice call out to him.
"Ni-chan?" Dante turned around and responded.
"Oi, Bijin. Over here." Just then, a little girl the same age as Dante came up and stood beside her sibling.
"This is Bijin. She's my twin sister." Dante announced.
"Hello." Bijin said with a smile while clasping her brother's hand.
Hiei was in a state of shock. Standing before him were miniature duplicates of himself, both male and female. The little girl, Bijin, was indeed a beauty like her name implied. She was as cute as button with her jet black hair with white streaks perfectly placed and ruby eyes. She had bubbly personality and adored her brother. It was Dante that really held his attention though. It really was like looking in a mirror at your childhood version. Dante was him before he got the Jagan. But, unlike Hiei, Dante clearly showed his emotions openly and had a upbeat personality.
Kurama stared at the twins, his reaction to them was more curiosity than shock. He was busy trying to figure out why the children looked like Hiei when they all knew that Akari lost the baby she was carrying that was fathered by Hiei five years ago. *Could they be the offspring of another Ice Maiden? I wonder?* Kurama said to himself.
Kuwabara was wondering the same thing. *I wish I could ask Yukina if she knows anything about them. She might know something.* He said to himself.
"Dante and Bijin have come to me because they need your help." Koenma said.
"They're mother has been kidnapped and they want us to help them rescue her." Yusuke told his friends.
"Please help us rescue mama. She said that the Rei Kai are the only ones that can do it." Bijin told them.
"Mama told us stories about you guys. About how powerful and fearless you are and said that if we ever needed help, we were to seek you out." Dante said.
Bijin let go of her brother's hand, went over to Hiei, and looked up at him with a pleading look in her eyes.
"Onegai, we need you help." She told him as her brother stepped up beside her.
Hiei looked at her and was struck at how much she reminded him of his true love, Akari. He bent down to them and did something very un-Hiei like. He placed one hand on Bijin's cheek and his other hand ruffled Dante's spiky flame hair. He smiled at them gently.
"Of course we'll help." He told them. Both of the twins smiled brightly and hugged Hiei. Hiei was shocked, but then gently returned the hug.
*Ni-chan? He smellls so nice. Like mama.* Bijin mentally told her brother.
*Yeah, he does remind me of mama. I wonder if our father smells as nice. I wish we knew where he was. He would save mama for sure.* Dante replied back.
*Yeah, I know. I miss our Tousan. I hope he's okay and will come home soon.* Bijin said to her brother.
Hiei felt their spirit energy. It was very familiar to him, but was different somehow. Another familiar spirit energy was blended in with it, but he couldn't place whose.
"Well, I suggest we get started then. We're going to our sister dimension." Yusuke told them.
"Sister dimension? Is that where you two are from?" Kurama asked.
"Uh-huh." Bijin nodded.
"Cool! We get to see Akari again. I wondered how she's been the past five years? I can't wait to see her." Kuwabara said excitedly.
"Not well. I'm afraid her kingdom is in turmoil." Koenma-sama told them.
"Huh?" Botan, Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei said together.
"Its true. The kingdom has been under constant attack and not only that, Akari-chan has gone missing." Yusuke told them.
"Missing? How? What happened?" Hiei asked.
"We don't know. That's the only information we were able to obtain." Koenma replied.
"Alright, Rei Kai. Let's move out!" Yusuke said.
Everyone nodded and left the playground area to prepare to leave for the sister dimension.
