Disclaimer/Notes: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! For those who can't guess: Isis = Ishizu, Prince = Yami, Seth = Kaiba
Isis was a priestess. More than that, she was a princess; a cousin of the Pharaoh himself. By all rights, she should have been able to spend her days laying about, being tended to by servants and slaves.
Instead, she was wading out of the river, her clothes clinging to her body, looking and feeling something like a drowned rat. "I'm going to hang you up by your toenails," she growled at her tormentors, who were staring at her, their jaws hanging down almost to her chest. The entire scene might have been comical, if the three youths involved weren't so deadly serious.
"Run away!" the prince cried, dashing away as fast as his little legs could carry him. His partner in crime, a novice of the priesthood, was off seconds later. He, with his longer legs and runner's build, quickly outpaced the young Pharaoh. All the while, Isis ran just behind, like a damned soul trying to escape the gods.
The prince never stood a chance. He was the smallest of the three by a head, though he and the novice were the same age. His legs, no matter how hard he ran, could never beat out either of his companions longer limbs. He went down like a bag of rocks as the priestess tackled him, her hangs tangling firmly in his wild hair.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!"
Isis shook him, nearly tearing a chunk of hair loose. "I ought to throw YOU into the river, you little beast!"
"Seth! HELP!" the prince cried out, his voice breaking in a most undignified manner as his partner in crime stopped, well out of the young priestess' reach. Indecision tore in the youth's dark blue eyes. Save himself -- or try to save his friend...
Isis took advantage of his indecision and charged up to him, dragging the prince behind her. She caught him by his ear and started dragging both struggling boys back towards the river, a look of unholy malice in her eyes.
