That's what this is, this thing. I feel, I see, I touch, I want, I fight. Or at least, that's what I'm supposedly doing. But I'm not here. I'm not real. How can I do this if I'm not real? How can I feel the imaginary you in my arms?
The colors of dawn breaking across my mind, I feel your presence. So calming, so beautiful.
You've always been that way. You're stunning, gorgeous. That's always been you. Even in pain, you smile. And when you're sad, you smile. And when others are sad or in pain... you still wear that smile.
Isn't it fake yet?
Can't you see we see through it?
You know it, but do you want to? Is this what all the pain is for, to keep the smiles as innocent as they can be? But you're tainting them. Don't you see that?
Smile away the pain. Pretend it's not there.
And it's still hurting.
But you'll take it. You'll take all the pain that you can to bring the joy back into others' hearts. You're so kind. So loving.
Am I that way?
How do you find that strength within you? How can you love to live in this abysmal story of yours?
Well, I won't let that happen. Neither will the others. We'll fight against the darkness, we'll fight against hell, we'll fight against anything for you.
Because you're still smiling that same sad smile.
