Haunted

Long lost words whisper slowly

To me

Hermione sat against a wall. The wind rustled her hair. She swore she could hear something, she swore that she could hear Harry, and he was telling her that everything would be alright. Even though he was gone, everything would be alright.

Still can't find what keeps me here

She didn't know how she got here, or why she was staying here. All she remembered was that four ministry officials showed up, telling her that her beloved Harry was dead. She had ran, blindly through the streets, searching for somewhere where she could be alone, but everywhere she went she felt Harry. "Oh Harry, why did you leave me?" She sobbed into the night.

She almost swore she could hear him whisper in her ear "I didn't go anywhere, I'm right here."

When all this time I've been so hollow inside

I know you're still there

She almost smiled, Harry hadn't gone anywhere. His spirit was still there, he would never leave her, he loved her.

Watching me

Wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

She felt bright green eyes boring into her, she looked around, but there was no Harry. She needed his calm face, she needed him to hold her and tell her that he would never leave her. "I love you," Harry's voice whispered. She hung her head

"You aren't here," she sobbed.

"I am, don't waste your tears on me, I'll never leave you."

Fearing you

Loving you

I won't let you pull me down

"Are you scared, love? You shouldn't be. It's only me, your Harry," Harry laughed, Hermione sobbed.

"I love you Harry. But it isn't you, it can't be!" Hermione rocked back and forth.

Haunting you

I can smell you-alive

Your heart pounding in my head

She could see Harry take shape in front of her. The air smelled like citrus, cinnamon, and a smell that she could only call Harry. She could almost hear his rhythmic heartbeat. "You see? I'm here, I'm never leaving." He smiled at her.

"Oh but Harry, you DID leave, you died!" She didn't know why she wished that Harry would just leave. She wanted Harry back more than anything, but this wasn't Harry.

"Life might have left my body, but my spirit never left, it'll always be here with you."

He bent down and put his arms around her. They didn't feel warm and protective as they once did, they just made her more scared and cold then she already was. She pulled away and he chuckled. "What's the matter, love? It's me, I told you I never left, why don't you believe me!" Hermione tried to grab his hand, but it just went right through him

"Because you're not real!" she half choked, half screamed "I'm losing my mind! I'm dreaming! Harry you're dead You-know-who killed you!" Harry looked almost angry

"I'm real enough. I assure you that you're perfectly sane and awake. Why don't you believe me, I thought you loved me," Harry roared at her.

"I love Harry." Harry looked puzzled, but Hermione knew that this wasn't Harry, at least not the Harry that she loved.

Watching me

Wanting me

I can feel you pull me down

"I don't WANT you here, I want you gone! You're not my Harry." Hermione tried to run right through Harry, but his form grew solid and he pushed her down.

"I'm not you're Harry? I'm his soul; I'm more Harry then Harry ever was. You don't know the real Harry."

Saving me

"You say you love me; then just leave me alone!" Harry walked up to her; she tried to crawl backwards, but ran into a wall.

"'You're Harry' might have loved you, but I most certainly don't."

Raping me

She tried to scream as Harry came closer and closer, but he covered her mouth and banged her head against the wall. "Harry," she sobbed before she was overcome with blackness.
