Author's Notes: There are two things I shouldn't do the moment I wake up. That would be to cook and to hear MinaJun sing. And tadaa! Here's the product of the things I'm not supposed to do early in the morning.
Hope you'll like it.
To my beloved Kim-nee who loves TakaFuji, this is for you. Also to my neesan Yume-nee, the TezuFuji, RyoFuji and FujiJiroh parts are for you. And I mean they're really short.
Disclaimers: TeniPuri would always be Konomi-sama's.
Tomorrow is Tomorrow
Today is Today. Tomorrow is Tomorrow.
Kawamura was not really the one for contemplating and such, but right now, he was contradicting those words.
He was thinking of things, a certain tensai to be precise.
He thought that maybe he would be able to have a word with the said tensai today – alone – but the events hindered him from doing so. A close friend of Fuji had just arrived. And well, he wasn't able to talk to Fuji.
Besides, he didn't really know how to ask him if he could have sushi with him.
He took a glance at the hazel-haired lad as a smile graced his lips.
Fuji Syusuke.
Who would have known he would fall for that guy?
It was weird, he thought, but even Tezuka wasn't able to resist the prodigy's charms.
If it worked on Tezuka, then definitely it would work on him.
And well, yeah, he caught the Seigaku Tennis Club buchou looking at Fuji once along with their freshman regular.
He found it funny at first, as he was not able to relate to the feeling yet. It was actually only until a few months ago that he finally accepted the fact that he indeed had this certain thing for his usual doubles partner. And it had a great effect on him, really great actually.
He didn't need to wait for 'Tomorrow'. He was satisfied with 'Today'.
But it was different now that he discovered Fuji had someone in his heart.
He glanced once more at the smiling tensai and caught sight of a sunset-hair lad who looked a lot like Akutagawa Jiroh.
Aa. Indeed, it was him. It was the one who had Fuji's heart. He was the cause of Fuji's genuine smiles.
God, Kawamura wished that he could somehow make Fuji smile like he did right now, to be the cause of such happiness emanating from the said lad.
But he wasn't. He couldn't ever be.
And so he decided to just watch Fuji from afar. That way, he would be able to observe Fuji and preserve his friendship. He would still be able to be close to Fuji.
Yes. Close to the one he loved, his feelings forever hidden deep in the abyss of his heart.
"Syusuke, mou ikemasho! We're gonna be late for the movie!"
"Aa. Gomen for making you wait. Iko."
And they walked out of the courts, hand-in-hand.
Kawamura could just sigh as the smile on his lips faded.
Tezuka moved a few steps forward, just a little on his right, watching the tensai from a distance like he was.
"Buchou, Kawamura-sempai, akiramenai. Mada mada," Echizen said, joining duo, pulling his cap down.
Three people stared at the fading figure of a certain person named Fuji Syusuke.
And somehow, they could just hope that maybe, they would have a chance to be loved by Fuji. Maybe next year, next month, next week.
Maybe tomorrow.
After all, tomorrow is tomorrow.

Author's Notes: For those who didn't get what the meaning of 'Tomorrow is Tomorrow', it's something that will never come. Because the tomorrow that means the next day isn't really tomorrow. There would be another tomorrow after that.
Disclaimers: TeniPuri isn't mine. Konomi-sama owns it.
