"You what!" he yelled.
"It's not a big deal! Give me a break man!" Remus yelled back at his best friend.
James had a look of complete shock on his face which his features didn't seem to like. "Not a big deal! Not a big deal! What do you mean not a big deal! I'm in love with her and you ask her out! That sounds like a big deal to me!!"
Remus shook his head in disgust. "And why didn't you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, someone else loved her. And is it so unconcevable that she doesn't like you, maybe that she hates you! No I bet you didn't!" He turned and stormed out of the commonroom. In his blind rag he failed to see his new found girlfriend walk in past him.
James watched his bestfriend storm away and the love of his life walk up to him.
She shook her head. "I knew you would come down hard on him! And you shouldn't have! And he's right!! I can't stand the sight of you James Potter! You won't even let your fr-"
She was stopped short by James lip's pressing themselves hard against hers. She pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. He wasn't fazed.
She stormed out to find Remus, but in the back of her mind she was hoping James would follow. She was almost to the doors of the castle when she finally figured out that he wasn't running after her. Not this time. Not the only time she ever wanted him too...
