"Eyes on me"

It was the Graduation Fest. Hermione was sipping punch blissfully unaware of Harry and Ron who had been trying to get her attention for the past hour when they finally gave up. A small part of her brain had registered the boys who had asked her to dance and the girls who had told her how pretty her dress was. No, instead Hermione was concentrating on finding someone, her eyes scanning the Great Hall.

Whenever sang my songs

On the stage, on my own

Whenever said my words

Wishing they would be heard

She finally saw him in the shadows and started to make her way to him through the mass of dancing students.

I saw you smiling at me

Was it real or just my fantasy

You'd always be there in the corner

Of this tiny little bar

He watched her across the hall in her beautiful blue dress. He of course had instantly seen her enter the Great Hall and had waited for her to notice him. His eyes never leaving hers, he walked outside to the balcony. Hermione followed him unconsciously walking faster as if she might lose him. She had been waiting for this night a long time and was not going ruin it.

She came to the balcony and saw him waiting for her with a strange look on his face.

He gave her the rare smile only reserved for her and held his hand out for her. She took it, and he led her as they danced outside under the stars.

They held each other tightly both of them hoping it wasn't just a dream.

Hermione looked up to Severus' eyes and could clearly see the swirl of emotions in them. Neither spoke, yet a thousand words were said silently as they looked at each other. He leaned closer and Hermione closed her eyes when he kissed her tenderly.
