Just Wondering Around
Disclaimer: I don't own Sailor Moon. Usually I would have fun with the disclaimer but right now I'm just too tired as it's 2:17 AM. Enjoy the story.
I wonder..... Serena thought as she walked along the street. What would happen if I just kept on walking....past my house, past the districit, past the city, past everything. I wonder would anyone care would anyone notice. I wonder.....why don't I do it, why don't I find out.....I mean if there's any trouble Pluto would tell me, so why not.... why not....
Silently she kept walking and wondering till suddenly she was in front of her house.
"I wonder...Why....Not?" She mused once again out loud. Then setting her school bag down on the sidewalk in front of her house she turned back to the direction she had been going and kept walking, and wondering.
"What will happen I wonder when they realize I'm gone. Will they worry? Will they fret? Will they come looking for me? If they do, will they find me.... and if they do find me, what will they do? what will they do....?
It was growing dark now. Serena's walking had took her to a rather disruputable part of the city. The people on the streets didn't exactly look safe to be around if you wasn't from around there. A man jumped in front of her and waved the blade he held pratically under her nose.
"Gemme your money!"
Serena looked at him for a moment then at the blade. Reaching one slim hand up she touched the cool metal. Then pulled it from his surprised, limp grip.
What's happening!?!? he thought. This isn't how it goes...
Serena turned the blade over and over in her tiny hands, the blade was really a rather small sword with a slender, waving blade. It was very sharp and had some rather odd-looking designs covering it. "Where did you get this?"
"Stole it."
"It's not nice to take things without asking."
"Yeah, I know but i got a family to feed."
"Job..."
"Can't get one."
"Why not?"
The man shrugged.
"What can you do?"
"I was good at math in school before I dropped out."
Serena looked up at the man, "My father owns a bank in the Juuban district. Go there and ask to see Mr. Tsukino, say something about having saw his daughter. In return for telling him where you saw me, ask him for a job."
The man looked doubtful.
"What do you have to lose?", Serena asked in a point blank manner. He seemed to think it over.
"Nothing I don't guess." He loked up at her, "You running away from home or something?"
"Not really." She was still examining the knife. "May I have this?"
"What? Oh, sure I guess. I've got plenty at home. Here's the thing that holds it."
"Sheath. Thank you. Oh, by the way my name is Serena, you'll need to know that when you see my father. Good-bye", Serena side-stepped around the man and kept walking.
"Good-bye and good luck whatever it is your doing. Oh, yeah and be careful." He watched her slip the blade into the waistband of her school uniform and gently nod at his words. He watched her till she disappeared on down the street. "Strange girl, but something tells me she wasn't lying I just may go and that up that offer."
And so it begins. Crossover possibly. I wrote this a long time ago but I may still remember the storyline. Tell me if you think it's worth continuing.
