Note: I was so amazed with Hikki's(hikki is Utada's nick name) song. While I was writing this poem, I kept on playing it in my computer. Hope you appreciate my poetry writing and review. A nature-related poem that's why it's for Miyazaki's Mononoke Hime.
"DEEP RIVER"
Inspired from Utada Hikaru's 'Deep River'
Dedicated to Ashitaka's journey
A thousand miles I've traveled
Forgetting why I rebelled
Leaving trails of tears
Memories of my peers
Growing from my mistakes
I try hard to retake
A path lead by a narrow track
Still seems so gloomy from the dark
How long will my journey continue?
Will I be able to reach you?
I chose my fate
Don't know when to wait
A river of my dreams
Just follow the sound of the streams
You will see the light
When you reach with all your might
Understand the deep meaning of living
But why is my heart aching?
The reason for seeking
Will answer the essence of surviving
Seeing an unfathomable pit
Threatens me a bit
Anything worth fighting for
Is anything worth living for?
To grasp my message
Follow the melody's rampage
How will you recover?
In a deep river
