Disclaimer: I do not own Inu-Yasha or its characters.
She felt blank and empty. As if in a great space of nothingness. Just floating there with no contrast of light or dark.
No separation of black an white. Only that vacant sensation of emptiness that surrounded her, body and mind. Would her body respond to her if she tried? She doubted it would. So subtly she tried to move her fingers. Not even a twitch in response.
Maybe she should try to open her eyes. Again, no response from her body. Strange she could feel her body, yet she was unable to move it.
Maybe her soul had left her while she was asleep. No , that could not be it. Surely she would not feel her body if that had happened. Wouldn't that be fitting? For her to cease to be, and no one would mourn her.
If she was able to, a cruel, bitter smirk would grace her features.
Wouldn't the world celebrate her demise. After all what had she done to prove herself 'good' in the eyes of others. She had given no reason for anyone to trust her.
And why should she? She was free to do what ever she pleased. Free to love, and free to hate. Nothing bound her or weighed her down. No duty. Contempt filled her at the thought.
But, why waste herself on such a shallow, meaningless thought. She was a free woman, with another chance.
This opportunity was too great and she would not pass it up by dieing. And she would start with the death of that foolish half-breed.
Yes, Naraku will die, even if not by her hands. She, Kikyou the priestess would witness his demise and cast the Shikon No Tama from this world.
AN: If anyone wishes for me too continue too dabble into the complex mind of Kikyou I will. Just mention it in you reviews. Or if you want me to try another character name it and I try.
