If the chain breaks, everyone dies

There are only a few people left. They all went insane after you left. I'm not sure how I stayed this way. I think its because I have more good memories. Like, the taste of chocolate. Sunday night at the movies. The Rainbow. Books. Oh what it would be like to actually read a book. But the best one of all.

Music. How could I even describe music? It came after you left so you must know the feeling in your heart when you hear that first note. No one else as music in their memories, they can't hear the beauty of it.

There's a little boy. He got left with most of the bad memories. War, blood, hate, death, and worst of all silence.

If the chain breaks, everyone dies

Everyone's bonded in a way to one another. It's like a chain, but if another passes away, I don't think we can handle much more. I know you were expected to hold all of these, but, you were chosen! How are we, the ones not meant to be, supposed to hold these things in our mind?

That little boy, I'm not sure how long he'll hold out. He keeps crying out for his mother, who was lost long ago. He shrieks in his sleep. We woke up one morning to his scratching on the walls. And only one word came from his lips.

Torture.

Of course we don't know how to get it out of his head, and so he sees these things all the time, all day, every day, and can't get them out of his head. He claws at his face, he's almost always bleeding somewhere.

Why can't you return! Oh Jonas! You left us all to our personal heavens and hells!

If the chain breaks, everyone dies

The little boy passed away today, and now I can see what he was screaming about. Now I know what the word Torture really means. Pain beyond anything you've ever known! I can't even concentrate on the beautiful sound of music anymore! It's lost! My whole life is lost. Now everyone screams, and I'm the only one left. And it's only a matter of time until I see all that they can see. I must escape.

If the chain breaks, everyone dies

It's sunny outside the community, but with a fresh layer of snow on the ground. Everything is white, as far as you can see, until you get to a spot, about 1 mile from the edge of the community. And you see bloody foot prints. And you follow, until you reach the body belonging to those footprints. And it's a girl, a beautiful girl, with scratches on her face, arms, and every where you could think of. No one knows why she's there, no one knows where she came from. But she will soon be forgotten, just like the memories, which disappear with the wind.
