There is Only Power

Bellatrix has joined Voldemort and with her help he has come within inches of realizing his dream. Bella, feeling cocky at their assured victory, writes Dumbledore a letter, which he receives just days before the downfall of Lord Voldemort. One shot.

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or related characters. I just like to play with them and mess with their minds.

A/N: This is just an introduction to the actual story. I wrote this after watching an overly dramatic children's cartoon, so it might be very, very weird. Please R/R, even if you hated it.

Dumbledore:

My name is Bellatrix, and I have done terrible things. I have sworn to serve a dark master, and I have committed crimes in his name. I have betrayed and attacked everyone who used to by my friend. One by one, I have destroyed members from the Order of the Phoenix. And with no one left to stop me, my fellow Death Eaters and I have nearly brought an entire world to its knees.

You may be asking at this point: How? Or, more appropriately: why? And so I'll tell you. I've always known, since I was a small girl, that I enjoyed having power and control over others. This is not something I'm ashamed of, it is merely a fact I've lived with. Along with that, and this is something I'm sure you've noticed in all your years of teaching me, I despise losing. I am sure, now more than ever, that I have picked the winning side. I have also been dissatisfied with my life for some time now. I knew that there had to be something more, something darker that I could do with my powers than what I experienced in everyday life.

And then, of course, there was the unfortunate falling out I had with my cousin and his friends all those years ago. They should have realized that their humiliating jokes they played on me would not go unpunished. You'll have to ask my dear cousin for those delicate details.

But I am getting off subject. This letter is intended to bring to relief the seriousness of the situation, and to demand the Order's unconditional surrender. The Dark Lord respects you, so he is generous with your timeframe. You have one week to admit your defeat and consequently disband the Order. Please be assured that we will not hesitate, in the case of your refusal to our very reasonable demands, to disband the order ourselves.

Professor Dumbledore, my name is Bellatrix Lestrange. I have done terrible things.

And I have absolutely no regrets.

I will not hesitate even a fraction to annihilate you and yours.
