SO RIGHT SO REAL SO PERFECT

Disclaimer: Mark and Susan don't belong to me. Unfortunately.

A/N : When Sherry Stringfield left the show, I wanted her to come back more than anything, even though this meant Susan would end up with Mark.
I'm not a really a Marsan girl at heart...
Anyway, here we go...

SO RIGHT, SO REAL, SO PERFECT

"I do love you!" Susan called out of the train window as it slowly pulled away.

"What?" Mark shouted back.

"I love you! Bye!"

Then she was gone. Mark stood at the platform for some more minutes and watched the silver grey train leaving the station until it disappeared. He couldn't believe that it was over before it really began. He'd been in love with Susan for such a long time. And even when he was still married to Jennifer, he had probably already fancied her.He didn't want to cry, but when he was out on street again, standing all alone in the pouring rain, he couldn't held back his tears anymore.

Mark slowly made his way home. Dark clouds were covering the sun. Rain was pouring down, washing away the tears that rolled down his cheeks. Within minutes, Mark was soaking wet, but he couldn't care less. Susan was all that was on his mind.
Even when I close my eyes

Mark was angry at himself for not having told her before. She said she had known it anyway, but maybe she would never have left if he had told her how he really felt about her earlier. Maybe she would have stayed.

He had loved her more than anything. He had never realized how much she really meant to him until he had lost her. Now he knew, but it was too late. She was gone. They didn't even have a chance.

He finally arrived at home. Home was her old apartment. The place where she used to live for a long time. Mark let himself into the apartment and walked around. She'd taken all her furniture with her. However, she was still present in every room. He could see her. Smell her. Feel her.

Mark sat down on the floor and leant against the cold brick wall. He watched the shadows of the trees outside the windows dance across the room. Susan was all he could think about. He wanted to hug her. He wanted to hold her close and never let her go again. He wanted to tell her once again how much he loved her. How much he needed her. He wanted to tell her that's she everything to him. The one who makes it all complete. Mark put his head in his hands. He should have never let her go.

He sat there for a long time. Hours went by. He was caught up in circles. Memories of her flashed by. It took him forever to realize that someone had rung the door bell. He quickly wiped away the tears and got up to open the door. He still had a blurred vision from all the crying, but he could still recognize that it was Susan who was standing there. At first he thought it was just a dream. After all, Susan should be on her way to Phoenix now. But then she called his name and reached out for his hand. When he heard the sound of your voice and felt her warm hand on his skin, he knew that it wasn't his mind playing tricks on him, but reality. She had really come back. "Susan...I thought you... " He began.

Susan shook her head and gently pressed her finger on his lips. "Shhh...I couldn't leave you..." "Because I love you, too...and I would never forgive myself if I wouldn't give us a chance, Mark. I got out of that train at the next stop and went back here. "Because I love you." "Because I want to be with you." "More than anything in the world."

She brought her arms around him and kissed his tear-stained face. "I love you, too. With every piece of my heart, " Mark whispered and their lips met again.

It was so right. So real. So perfect.

the end.
