He wasn't sure when it had started. No one had mentioned it to him. It was something he had thought about since but could not put a firm date on it, he and Gill had discused it at length but niether of them could say when exactly it had started. It had to have been gradual the decline they had decided, barely noticable at first. He had noticed people had stopped filling his mugs quite so full slight changes at first but he still did not think about it. He wonders now if it was just him not wanting to notice. It had taken Gill asking him about it as they ate a Sunday lunch together at their home before he put any real thought in to it.
"Nicky how long have your hands been shaking like that?"
"I hadn't noticed, It's not that bad maybe it's where I'm tired"
"I haven't noticed it before"
"I can't say I have either"
"We'll have to keep an eye on it""Okay. Where did this beef come from it tastes great"
"Nicky beef comes from cows"
"HaHa Gill"
And that was it. That was what had started him noticing. That was what started him wondering. He noticed that some mornings it was better than others. Somedays he could carry his coffee to the table without spilling any and others he would loose a quater of the mug on the floor. Somedays he could write his reports with no trouble others he would get writers cramp after a few lines.End part one.
