A/N: It's my first attempt at a fan fiction like this. Have fun! By the way, the prologue's just an introduction, it's the only one that's NOT funny.
Prologue
Forces United
"Oy, Harry, Ron, Hermione! Over here!" Fred and George's voices called to them as they passed. The crowd had slowly dwindled away, and Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the Weasley twins were the only ones left in the common room.
"What?" asked Ron, glancing at the bits of parchment and ingredients that littered the table before Fred and George.
"We've done it!" exclaimed Fred.
"It's brilliant!" added George.
"What is?" Ron asked, picking up an odd silver contraption.
"That, my friend, is the key to our future success," explained Fred.
"Yeah," George agreed. "We can travel in time!"
"We? All of us?" A sudden idea had struck Harry.
"Well yeah. Why do you ask?" Fred looked ecstatic at the thought of an idea to test.
"My dad. He was--like you, sort of. I think we should go back and meet the Merauders."
"Hang on!" said Fred. "What does your dad have to do with--"
"My dad WAS a Merauder," Harry explained. "But anyway, do you think..."
"Harry, what would you tell your own dad if you met him?" asked Hermione. "You look exactly alike!"
"I could be a transfer student from... Norway," Harry told her. "And you could be from Spain and Ron and Fred and George could be from Whales--"
"C'mon, Hermione! You want to meet his mum, don't you?" Ron asked, almost accusingly.
"Right then! Let's go!" said Fred. "How many years--"
"Twenty years," Harry told him firmly. They all reached out to touch the silver object. George spun a dial, and they began to spin. Moments later, quite dizzy, their feet hit the cold stone floor of the entrance hall.
"We've done it!" muttered Fred in awe.
"Sorry, er-- who're you?" Harry gaped. A twenty-year-old younger Remus Lupin stood, staring at the five students before him.
"We're transfer--" Ron began.
"Hang on! James, I thought you were upstairs with Sirius!"
"I'm not James!" Harry told him, smiling.
"Oh. James, Peter, Sirius! Look! Transfer students!" Lupin seemed in an oddly good mood.
"Excellent!" said James, slapping Harry on the back.
"Brilliant!" supplied Sirius, grinning.
"Erm... hi?" Peter muttered, stepping back into the shadows.
"Well, where will you be in a half hour?" asked Sirius hurriedly. "We're about to play a joke on the Slytherins; we can't talk really--"
"Are you?" asked Fred.
"Need any help?" asked George, grinning.
James beamed at the twins, and without answering, beckoned the group down the hall, whispering secretively about the plot against the Slytherins.
