Chappie 1: Questions
"Alanna, we've got a little trouble down in the south, on the coast of the Inland Sea. The Carthakis look like they're rearing up for a fight. We're not sure what it's about but it looks small," these were King Jon's words when he sent Alanna and several units of the Own to the southern border.
Alanna rode next to her good friend Sir Raoul of Goldenlake for most of the ride south. As they rode they pondered what could possibly be wrong this time.
They were just a day's ride form the southern coast of Tortall when Alanna called a halt to the party. Alanna slid down from her horse and motioned for Raoul to do the same.
They elbow-crawled up the small hill to peer over the top.
When they were almost at the top Raoul said, "Alanna what is it?"
Alanna placed one finger over her lips to silence the knight. Slowly, carefully they turned over and looked at the scene below.
Raoul gulped and Alanna turned pale.
I know this is short but cry me a river (not to be mean but it's my first multichapter fic). Reviews please and I don't mind flames constructive criticism is good for my writing and flames are sometimes attached.
