Bit Of Foam

Chloe walked into The Talon one morning and ordered her usual latte. Tapping her fingers on the countertop, she started bopping her head along to the music playing on the radio. The waitress handed her a mug and she paid before taking a seat in a booth near the back. She took out her journal to sketch.

Lex didn't notice her when he sauntered in, dressed in an expensive suit, deep blue shirt and silk tie. He ordered a latte and looked around the café. He finally noticed Chloe sitting by herself, sliding a pen in and out of her mouth absently while she thought. He felt his mouth go dry as he watched her. God, how he wanted to be that pen right now. Making a quick decision, he took his coffee, paid and headed over to her table.

"May I?"

She looked up and smiled. "Sure."

He sat across from her and glanced down at the book lying in front of her. "Sketchbook?" He asked, feeling his pants get tighter as she started sliding the pen in and out of her mouth again. "Chloe?" He hoped his voice didn't sound as desperate as it seemed.

"Nah, it's my journal." She closed it and put it in her bag before taking a long drink of her coffee. She closed her eyes and ran her tongue over her lips. Lex fought back the urge to groan. He just wanted to grab her and slam his lips onto hers. He managed to rein in his raging hormones and took a drink of his latte. The waitress had put too much foam in it and Lex grimaced.

"So what's your agenda for today?" He asked.

"Um, Lex, you…" She broke off into giggles. "You have a little…" She tried to make a gesture of some sort, but she was laughing too hard. She calmed down when she saw the utter confusion on his face. "Here, let me…" She leaned over towards him.

He gulped loudly as her face neared his.

"You have a little foam on your upper lip." She whispered before her tongue darted out and licked it off.

He shuddered as her tongue swept across his lips, licking up the foam that lingered. Closing his eyes, he registered everything from the feel of her tongue to the breath on his face to the way she smelled.

Suddenly, all that was taken away. He opened his eyes to see her grinning at him from across the table.

"Well, see you later Lex!" She gulped down the rest of her latte, grabbed her bag and left The Talon.

Lex sat, bewildered, in the booth for a few seconds, then got up and ran out of the double doors. He caught up with her just as she was about to cross the street.

"Ms. Sullivan, would you care to tell me what that was?"

She turned and had the grace to blush. "You had foam on your lip."

"So do you," He retorted before slamming his lips onto hers and thrusting his tongue into her mouth. She gasped and wound her arms around his neck. Lex didn't even think about who was watching or the fact that they were in the middle of the sidewalk outside a packed café. All he thought about was kissing Chloe like he had wanted to since he met her.

The bell of The Talon door rang and the couple pulled apart.

"What are you guys doing?" Lana and Clark stood at the doors with bewildered expressions on their faces.

Lex grinned and replied, "She had whipped cream on her lip."
