Chapter 1 - The New Guy
Zero rang the doorbell of Titan's Tower, he was interested in joining with the Teen Titans. It was 8am when Cyborg answered the door.
"Who are you?" Cyborg asked him.
"Call me Zero, I'd like to join the team!" Zero responded. Cyborg contacted the rest of the Titans so they'd assemble at the front door.
Robin woke up to the beeping and looked over to wake Starfire up. They'd been secretly sleeping together for a month now. They put their clothes on and met up with the others.
"Who's that?" Robin asked pointing to Zero.
"New Guy. His name is Zero and he wants to join." Cyborg told Robin.
"Let's see what you can do." Robin said to Zero as he led him to an obstacle course around back. Ray guns popped up from behind rocks and Zero simply made a lightning force field around himself. He then zapped the guns. As he made his way to the next area he decided to use his teleportation powers. He teleported through the area dodging each threat with ease. He completed the course in record time but he also destroyed it when he yawned. He couldn't yet control his powers so a giant orb of lightning obliterated the course.
"Uhhhh sorry?" Zero said feeling a little dumb.
"Dude that was awesome!!!!!" Beastboy said after seeing the course be destroyed.
"You did it the fastest but you can't exactly control your powers so you aren't a member yet. But you can prove yourself in our next battle against Slade....Until then keep practicing and your welcome to stay in the guest room next to Beast Boys." Robin told Zero.
That night Zero left the tower to train in secret leaving a note behind saying I'll be back soon I'm just doing some special training. Zero arrived at the Lightning Plains, he was going to attempt to control the lightning as a weapon without hurting himself. After about a week Zero looked like a pile of fucked up shit. Many severe burns covered his body but he wasn't giving in until he accomplished this. He used a bit of his remaining strength to summon lightning to strike him and if he failed it was certain death. The bolt engulfed his entire body and then it shot out at the tower Zero was aiming at. He had succeded. Using his last bit of strength Zero teleports back to Titan's Tower where he passed out in the middle of the floor. Raven found him on the floor and took him to the Infirmary.
"What happened?" The others asked noticing the severe burns on his body most of them would leave permanent scars.
"You'd look like shit too if you spent a week at the thunder plains and got zapped on purpose..." Raven said.
"The thunder plains!?" The others exclaimed.
"What the hell was he doing in such a dangerous place and how do you know he was there!?" Robin shouted.
"He was training his powers like you told him to and I read his mind...he'll be fine." Raven responded.
