The kisses begin, ghost-like, to flutter across his face and then become more persistent, heavy and hard against his nose, his mouth, his chin and he's too weak, too tired from the endless moon to fight back.

"Sirius…" he murmurs the name into his friend mouth – unsure whether it is a warning, a plea or a weary acceptance.

He's being dressed, although with all the tenderness that the hands brush across his body being dressed could be as sexual as being undressed – and then he is, because Sirius enjoys the unwrapping of his present more than the present itself. Remus is boneless, slothful and sprawling while Sirius is heated and passionate, taking with a fervour because the night before he was the passive one and he doesn't enjoy it, doesn't want to play to the wolfs needs.

When they run in the cold shadow of the moon it is Remus who heads the pack, who makes the rules and the dog, barking its defiance because it is still Sirius, with Sirius's mind and Sirius's stubbornness, remembers the rules in the morning after, remembers being lead and does not like it.

Sirius wants to be in charge, wants the power over Remus he doesn't get until now in the few dwindling hours after sunrise when Remus does not care about anything, does not care what Sirius does or says because he cannot feel and he cannot think. At other times they will do this, this passionate embrace, but at those times Remus snarls and spits and everything must be equal between them.

Sirius is not used to sharing, he's used to having his own way and so he takes it with force when he can. In his world he plays with his toys and the toys do not play back, they must be silent until he gives them voices, they must be motionless until he gives them motion and they must be heartless until he gives them hearts.

Remus is, after all, only another toy for the little rich boy to play with and spoil, scribble over and shatter with his rough play and his fights. An exotic toy, a pet werewolf that he can bait and control, even if it is only for a few hours, something no-one else can have and something no-one else can do.

Sirius demands and Remus does not give, but he does not hold back either.
