Ok, I truly can not decide. I have started story after story and I still have not found one that I truly love writing. I start one, and then a couple of chpaters in, it just becomes a drag to keep writing. I honestly cannot tell you that this one will be any different for me but, we'll see. Please review after you have read it. Reviews make me like the story better, which in turn, makes me want to write more chapters...see the connection?

Info you need to know: This takes place 4 years afer season 5...so basically season 9, but it's a different season 9 than you think, completely different. Chandler and Monica split up after they had been dating for a year. Chandler moved away (you will find out where later) immediately after the breakup without telling anybody, not even Joey. Nobody has been in contact with him over the years exept for when Chandler called Joey to appologize, he gave him his address and phone number but Joey never used them, having been too angry with him.

Monica and Rachel live together in Monica's apartment. Joey lives by himself across the hall. Ross lives by himself as does Phoebe, both in their own apartments. None of the friends are married or have children. I think that's all you need to know. Read and enjoy the story, please review!

Chapter 1: Wake up and Live Your Life

xxxxxx

Slowly, his heavy, drugged, eyes fluttered open.

Darky rain drops covered the windows, making the world around him seem even more evil.

He dragged his frail body out of the wrinkled sheets and attempted to stand on his own feet.

He swayed back and forth for several seconds before he felt he was stable enough to move forward.

Step after step, he moved closer to the bathroom.

The door squeaked open and the light flickered a few times before becoming a steady ray of floresent light.

He leaned on the sink, turning on the water, watching the cool liquid flow freely.

The cracked mirror actually made his appearance look better than it actually was.

His unshaven, pale skin showed something very different than his fading blue eyes did.

He splashed some water on his face and dried it off with a towel, carelessly throwing it on the floor.

The rest of the apartment was dark, but that was no problem for him, his eyes had adjusted over the years.

On the other side of the kitchen counter lay the closest thing to a best friend that he now had.

He knew nobody could ever have replaced Joey, but what was he supposed to do?

He had betrayed Joey, and everybody else for that matter, and there was nothing he could do about it.

Nudging the man in the side, he groaned and rolled over.

"Billy, get off the floor." He said went to open the fridge.

Finding nothing inside he turned to the man who was now lazily peeling himself off the floor.

"We need food. We have nothing left." He drew a crumpled fifty out of his back pocket and threw it towards Billy, who caught it.

"Go get food today, do NOT spend it on anything else but food. Do you hear me?"

Billy stared blankly back at him.

"You know, I'm not a f*uckin retard, you don't have to treat me like one." He sad as he stuffed the bill in his shirt pocket.

"Well then why do you act like one?"

Billy gave him a death glare before walking to his room to change.

Chandler flicked on the light, waiting a minute for his eyes to adjust.

Suddenly feeling very tipsy, he grabbed onto the counter for support.

"Agh, man. I need a hit." He searched the coutner top for anything to fix him up, but upon finding nothing, he called to Billy.

"Billy! Do you have anything left?" He yelled.

"Yea!" Billy yelled back, walking out of his room with a needle in hand.

"Here ya go." He said, pushing the small object into Chandler's arm, letting the substance run through his body and take it's course.

"Ok, I'm off to the store." Billy announced, throwing the used needle in the garbage. "Stay away from anything that could kill you."

"Little late for that isn't it?" Chandler asked, taking a seat on the floor of the living area.

"You know what I mean. You have to be at work by noon today, remember that!" And with that said, Billy was gone.

Chandler slowly layed back, resting his head on the carpet.

What led him to the choices that he had made so many years ago, he did not know.

Why he was doing this to himself, he did not know.

There was nothing like this, nothing could be better.

Or so he thought.
