The New Island
The New Island near the Bahamas was a newly created man made structure. It's height and area concealed by the United States government. Two years after the death of the origional creator of Jurrasic Park ,John Hammond, a mamoth park and university was about to open. Jarik Pierce was head of Newton University. Student body was currently zero since it would not be opened until 2020.
The year was now 2019. With only 1/2 the summer left before it's first grand opening trouble and concern about the university began to rise. Questions were being raised about the stability of the park. The same ones that shook the original park in 1997. Where Hammonds guest were nearly eaten alive. The first students to arrive would receive a free trip to the park and a free lunch with the designers. Jarik needed several people to sign off on the park. Since he knew Alan Grant, who was now over 50, would never sign it. He thought of Ian Malcolm. He knew Malcolm was currently out of a job and needed the cash badly. After all it was all over CNN. "Ian!" Jarik smiled at him as Ian walked into the door. Although, Ian's habits and dress have radically changed over the years Jarik still recognized him from the cover of TIME. "No." Ian said. Jarik's expression went from a smile to frown. "Why." Jarik replied still frowning. " I don't like the looks of the giant poster hanging boldly on the wall above your head.That's why." Ian reported.
"Ian, I need you. We will give a job here on the campus." Jarik shoved the promo in his face as he stuttered the whole way through. "Job, right, I need one of those.Physics or Chemistry 101?" Ian was being sarcastic. Jarik refused to reply.
"You remember what those papers said about me , Alan Grant, Ellie, Lex and Tim?We were almost eaten. And you want to open a university next to one of those?" Ian shook his head in utter disbelief. "Coffee?" Jarik asked handing Ian a cup. "Sure.Good coffee." Ian felt the sweat poor down his neck as the two raptors stared at him as he drank the coffee. Jarik was no longer in the room, but he(Ian) was now outside. The raptors looked at eachother, and then lunged at Ian and started to attack. Ian bolted right up straight from his cold sleep and with labored breathin. After a few seconds he realized that it was just a dream.A new day just begun with a bad night.
"Think they'll have that on the tour." He said recalling a memory from that eventful night at the orignal park.
It seemed that Ian was not the only one dreaming of the orignal park in which they spent hours at trying to escape alive, but so was Alan Grant, who was not even close to being 50 yet. Alan was watching a new film on dinasuar digging. As if it was anything but new. It was the same old stuff they had before Jurrasic Park so he turned it off. Then the phone rang. It was Ian Malcolm.
"Malcolm, hey, how is everything?" Alan smiled and breathed a sigh of relief that it was a new friend and not bill collectors or at this moment Ellie. The news was not good. People were missing on Cat Island near the Bahamas and others have found strange animals near Florida's coast. "Dino America. Great. Thanks Malcolm I'll come over in say two hours?" They agreed and Grant hung up the phone. Two hours. He didn't really need that much time, but he wanted to surf the net and find information on it about the recent discoveries.
Mean while President Harvey Coleman wanted to evacuate the southern half of Florida because hurrican Vick was bearing down on mainland............
