Chapter 1
Blood Red
The blade slipped, leaveing behind another cut slowly turning into a thick, red line of blood. Her arms and legs were scared with cuts. The first time alwasy hurt. Light shown faitly throught the musky window in the girls bathroom. Her tears made a small puddle on the floor. She looked down at her arm and still couldn't belive that she cut to get the pain out of her.
"Why do I always feel like shit?" Hermione asked herself. "Is he really worth it?"
The more she thought about it, the more she cut. Hermione had fallen for Draco, even throught all his torment. Sure she would flirt with Ron, But Draco had stoled her heart. She sat there; back againest the wall with red eyes and a broken heart. The puddle turned into a shallow pool filled with sarrow and fears. It was late evening and the school seemed dead. She didn't think anyone knew her secrets.
Just as Hermione was about to try and steady herself, footsteps enochoed in the corriders. Her heart pounding; adrenaline rushing through her vains. Had time stopped? Then the footsteps faded. "Where am I?" She felt sick and weightless. The window had been open. She glances down at her leg. "Oh my god!" Her left leg had a dozen deep gashes down the side of it. The sight made her numb. How could something so small, get so out of hand? Her leg seemed to be stained blood red. "Maybe i'm dreaming?"
"Hermione where are you?" Ginnys voice filled the dead hallways. But Hermoine didn;t answer. Sometimes Ginny wondered about her and what she did, but never said anything. Hermoine got up and steadied herelf on the sink. The soap stung as she washed the cuts. She turned and wobbly headed for the door, leaving behind the river of blood. Hermoine didn't know tat as she left the bathroom, someone was watching!
