Hey this is my first poem on I've been reading stories for a while but just became a member recently. I'll be writing a series of poems relating to all the relationships in the moon kingdom. So just you can guess which two people this one is talking about. Thanks for reading ...please review. I have a bad habit of not sticking to one certain type of poetry when I'm writing a poem.
You
You,
Were my one and only
My bane of existence
When you left so did a past of me
I don't know what went wrong
We were perfect
Light and dark
Was it me or you?
Like a rainbow shining through the rain of my life
You,
Banished the darkness within
Gave me peace and joy to stand in
The place of sorrow
And gave me hope for another tomorrow
At first I pushed you away
Then later came to say
I can't live without you
You're gone now
Again, was it something I did or said?
I swear I'd take it back somehow
Gone with you is my confidence
Out of its bed
In my heart
Joy and stability too
I might as well be dead
But I can't die
So I sit here and cry
Silently screaming to the sky
Hoping you can hear me
Come back
Take me back
Wash my transgressions away
And give me back my life
Of you and me together
Those words I need to hear
I'm back my love,
So wipe those tears
Away
