Greg Weisman created Gargoyles and its characters. Not me.

"What are you writing?" Elisa wondered as she watched Matt scribbling frantically on a piece of paper.
"A story," he simply said.
"What, do you work for the newspaper now?"
He glanced up at his partner. "Maza, I'm busy. Your voice is a distraction."
"Well, excuse me for being curious," she replied bitterly.
Matt sighed and put down his pencil. "Sorry for being rude. I just have to get this done before my class tonight."
"Class? I didn't know you were going back to school!"
"Well, I am. I wanted to take a couple of creative writing courses. I've always loved writing."
The raven-haired detective grinned. "Can I read your story?"
"It's not finished, Elisa, I..."
"Hand it over, Bluestone. I want to read it."
Reluctantly he handed her the piece of paper. She began to read it and her eyes widened, shocked at the contents.
"This isn't creative!" she exclaimed. "Can't you be more... original?"
"Well," he chuckled, "the assignment said to be abstract, think outside of the box. Write something you usually wouldn't write about."
"So you decided to write about reality?" she glared.
"It's not like they'll know it's real! I mean, who'd believe gargoyles really existed? Who'd think magic was real? And clones, and mutated people, and all the other countless things you've seen?"
"You are pathetic, you know that? I mean, first you write a story based on my experiences. Then, you make Goliath sound like he's stupid. And let's not forget about me. I would never wear skintight leather outfits!"
"I had to make it interesting!" he smiled innocently.
She shook her head. "I can't believe you. I hope you get a huge red 'F' on that story. It's boring, that's what it is. Boring!" She stormed back to her desk.
The following week at work, Matt left his A-worthy story taped on Elisa's computer.
